Been deleted, methinks (see the Oi!! thread pinned at the top). Gave you my reasons for wanting Boro to win in it. I'm definitely not a native, Mr. Mickle is one of the most sensible people I've come across in my time here (and other places) as well as a long time sufferer. Think I also mentioned that the Sunderland fans I've met here were about the most irritating people I've ever come across in my life.

Huh? Would someone care to explain the crac? Why is it deleted?

sure it's not buried under a (ton of threads about a) shed?

All I'm sure of, is that I have spent enough time looking for the thread, and I cannot locate the muthafuka.. Does anyone have an explaination? Who deleted it,and why was it deleted?:brow: That sort of thing...

I deleted it. Several of the messages contained within the thread contravened the Terms and Conditions of use of this site, namely personal abuse.

Could the offending messages themselves not just be deleted, from what I remember it was a popular thread - shame if a few have spoilt it for everyone else, but I suppose that's what this whole debate has been about... And why not ban those who have contravened the T&C from posting for a bit, or at least warn them? I know moderation must be very time consuming and you guys do a good job, but deleting a thread because a few people have abused the forum seems a bit harsh...

I have no idea what the fuss is about,or care very much, but Snorri's suggestion seems fair enough and a better idea than binning the whole thread...Alot of us here actually like the FA cup, or have had an interest in it down the years. We had a good thread going now its gone!If thats the case then so be it..But from a personal point of view, some people would do well to get themselves down to crac-converters and get themselves £50 crac back, before deleting perfectly valid threads!!

If any threads in future are deemed too abusive for any reason, and deleted, could the Moderators perhaps inform the forum which threads have been deleted,so the rest of us don't go wasting our time looking for them?Or is that too much to ask?Tsk!

Did anyone actually complain about the thread in the first place? Or is it a pre-emptive delete?Because it all sounds a bit pathetic from where I'm looking!

Granted,I did not see the nature of the so called abuse, maybe it was directed at me,I don't know. But I can assure Mr Oldmonkey I can take it whatever, and would prefer the thread left open..Peace :\ohwell:

Yes, I complained about it. And Tim deleted it on my behalf.

Nothing to stop you starting a new FA Cup thread (though you better be quick, as you'll have no interest in that or Europe by this time next week ;)). Provided it doesn't degenerate into slanging matches again there's no reason why we shouldn't have football threads.

So I've missed a thing or two then. I don't post everyday.I don't really need to know any details of abuse directed at yourself AL,that has very little do with me,but does it really warrant a whole thread being deleted? You yourself like the footy talk as far as I can tell, apart from Shitford ofcourse:laugh: It all seems a bit drastic...Not to mention me spending time looking for a thread that turns out to be not there anymore!

Like I said, maybe the moderators could inform the forum of which threads are being deleted at least. So those of us that want to go back to it,are not on stupid wild goose chases...

Fair enough if someone complained and it is well out of order if stuff was posted that made Al take such an offence that he asked for it to be deleted... Maybe deleting the whole thread is easier and puts the whole matter to bed better than deleting individual posts - I know quotes can be a problem in such instances. I'm interested to know though (and not because I want to know who's in the wrong - like Michael I missed the nastiness) if anything has been done against whoever was in the wrong, because if someone breaks the rules badly enough to offend someone and cause a whole (largely) inoffensive and (to many) interesting thread, then surely that warrants at least a virtual wrist-slap? If noone has beaten me to it, I will start a new FA Cup thread, so I can see a few good luck messages for the Mighty Hammers and hopefully have a (good-natured) gloat at Boro fans' expense on Sunday evening...

You took my beloved Stuart Ripley for a poxy 1.5 Million, and you expect me to talk to you!Thats not the kind of hurt that goes away!No wonder you got your heads kicked in at Ayrsome Park.Ripley was a good fist fighter himself,I remember him decking Jimmy Case and Mel Sterland on seperate occasions, when they mistook him for a soft winger! :nonono: I will be unavoidably working nights tonight so I will be settling for watching it in the boozer once I rise I'm afraid. It will be massive nevertheless. Dancing Brave was a class horse, your right there Bansheeman:thumb:He's dead now tho:(

C'mon Boro!

1-0 West Ham. Great finish from Harewood. Bit harsh on Boro who have had more of the game.

Great game, although until Harewood scored it was a bloody nightmare... Shame for Boro, but they've still got the UEFA Cup... Overall, I think we deserved it having come back from such a poor first half... Roll on May 13th!

Not much of a "Come On" about it all now is there though Mikey? :uhoh:

More like "Go Home Boro!" now ..... Thursday's UEFA semi-final home defeat notwithstanding of course. :blackeye:

What a piss poor, injury-ravaged, serially-underachieving shower of shoite they are truly.

Notice also recently how they can't even play to get a draw when they go one or two behind? That's how toothless they are! When was the last time Boro even played out a score draw? Now that's a teaser fer yers! At least one point is better than none at all when it comes to the league games fer fucks sakes. UEFA cup finalists or holders? Now come on, don't make me piss my pants. :mad2: :banghead:

Boatraceface wrote: ...on stupid wild goose chases...

That more or less sums up perfectly Boro's season 2005-2006 don't yer think? So many games, so many injuries, and naff all to show fer it at the end...... :\ohwell:

They may as well, it's a shit game anyway.

Guess who doesn't qualify for a fuggin final ticket.
