Come on you Irons! Not sure what to make of Boro's performance last night, but I'm sure it'll be a tough game at the weekend... It'd be a shame if Boro went out of both the UEFA and the FA cup in the next week, cos they've played a blinder at various stages of the season, but I'd equally be gutted if we went out on Sunday...

Feel free to offer your good luck messages for the Hammers, or to cheer on Boro, or, even, talk about the less important and less glamourous semi... But remember to play nicely... :)

Isn't it true that IF West Ham lose this, and IF Boro with the UEFA, then West Ham (or just 'staarm as all the Essicks Boys at work call them) would be in Europe next year anyways?!

I assume that by quoting the Chelsea v Liverpool sem-final as the less glamourous affair, you mean that with the absense of both Everton And Man Utd, there will be no more handovers of cash from the September 2005 transfer deal until July.

You are correct though: seeing as there is now only one realistic candidate for the England Manager's post after the World Cup this summer, wouldn't it be interesting if his current training coach wins the UEFA Cup AND The F.A. Cup this year? The tabloids might find it a little boring without Mr Ericsson.

Could be, but I find all this 'if this happens and the president of UEFA is wearing blue socks and there is a westerly wind, we might qualify' stuff, takes away from actually trying to win something... It is seriously complicated - I remember once we finished 6th or something and got nothing, then finished 7th and got into UEFA :confused2:

Your Hammers are going to be fresh for the Semi and must start very slight favourites, even tho we beat you 2-0 on Monday....Some of the Boro players are looking knackered with all the games just now. However I remain hopeful we can progress

And "New improved friendly FA cup Thread????" Where's the "Who do you want to win it" poll that was incorperated in the original thread?

I should sue you for false advertising Snorriman, but will settle for victory on Sunday:thumb: :duel:

Yeah, sorry, forgot about the poll - I think the consensus was that people wanted WH or Boro to win, hopefully all the rubbish with deleted threads and stuff will sort itself now, I think floks were a bit riled about all the ill feeling about BCD being full of shit... Anyways, looking forwardto the game tomorrow, you never know, having lost to Steaua on Thursday and looking abit tired, the role of underdogs might suit you - we never play well when we're favourites...

I want the Hammers to do it an all. Yer assistant Peter Grant is a Celtic legend who we actually got down to Corby during Celtic's Centenery Season and Mad (Welsh) Darren, who a lot of people here know is also a mad West Ham fan - and he might give me some peace if you finally manage to win something :D

Aye, it's been a while - Boro, Chelsea and Liverpool are just being greedy by trying to win the Cup... It's clearly our year...

I'm very Snorri man but Chelsea and Liverpool may be greedy,Boro are just hungry, starving in fact:food:

Our Trophy cabinet is more bare than Lady Godiever, take away our Carling Cup:D STARVING!

Annoyingly, I have enjoyed watching Boro this season and one of my best ates from school was a Boro fan, so I've always had a bit of a soft spot for them... May the best team indeed win (as long as it's the Hammers!) but if it has to be Boro, then I'll be cheering them on in the final... Isn't it nice that we can all be civil to one another once again...

Chelsea looked absolutely useless in the first half... But Liverpool nearly bottled it towards the end... Probably prefer to have Liverpool IF we get through tomorrow... Joe Cole... Oh dear, oh dear... :uhoh:

Couldn't be bothered to read all the replies properly but if no one else has said it, in response to Al, because the winners of the1st semi, Liverpool, are already in the Champs League, the winner from Boro or WHU are automatic UEFA qualifiers.

And could I just ask if "The Special One" thought that that Luis Garcia winning Semi Final goal crossed the line?

Cunt.

Luis Garcia. He drinks sangria. He came from Barca, to bring us joy. He's five foot seven, he's football heaven. Please don't take our Luis away.

Luis Garcia.

:)

No where near bottling it. We've been playing that backs to the wall style of cup games for the last couple of seasons.

2005 CL, Juve and Chavski home and away, Milan in Istanbul extra time; 2006 FAC, Luton and Pompy.

As for Joe Cole...

He was never going to score from that position because there was no chance of a deflection from there. :evil4: :evil4:

Would just like to add that I hate everyone except Stoke. And I hate them most of the time. Worst FA Cup record of any league club, bar Rochdale.

Am off to miserably fail to top myself, and then start a thread in BCD about it.

As for Boro or West Ham, I've mixed feelings. Enjoyed watching both this season. I work with a couple of Hammers and one of my best mates is a Boro lad.

I think I'd like to see West Ham in Cardiff and Boro lifting the UEFA cup. :) :)

He normally thinks of diving when he gets in that position you mean?! Or is that Robben? Or Drogba? Or... Wtf happened to Frank Lampard? Hardly saw him...

Score predictions, anyone?

I'm going for a close one, but 2-1 to the Hammers... Pleas, God, don't let it go to extra-time, though...

Hmmm... I sense a final where the Hammers go 3-0 up at half time, and then Liverpool do a searing fightback in the second half with three goals in five minutes. Liverpool win on penalties with Jose Reina doing the comical wobbly legs to put off Sheddy Teringham.
