What a band. And who thought you could make a career out of playing three chords?
Any other fans out there? Personally, I think they really should have stopped after Pleasent Dreams. After that, they were only sparodically good.
Rocket To Russia, Road To Ruin and End of the Century are stone cold classics, IMHO.

That was their only Top 10 hit in the UK. And I heard that Joey is the only Ramone on it. I know that Marky had to give the drum stool to one of Spector's session musicians for that song, but don't know about Dee Dee or Johnny.
Oh, I quite like Subterranean Jungle and Too Tough To Die a lot (No Go is a fine tune to slam dance to

The ex-GF took me to see The Ramones-- with Social Distortion opening, no less, what a show!

I still remember when Social D launched into Cold Feelings, with the moon rising over the Greek Theater. What a night.
the uncoolest moment of my life was walking into CBGB, ordering drinks, and chattin to the barmaid talking about the vibe of the place and the Ramones/Blondie.
She didnt have a clue what I was on about.
Just like if a yank guy walked into Dry expecting the girl behind the bar to know about New Order.

a friend of mine saw the Ramones at hammerjacks in baltimore years ago
his description? 2 hours, 40 songs, lots of noise!
I heard one of their songs on a Pepsi Commercial. It was either Blitzkrieg Bop or I Wanna Be Sedated.

I think it was I Wanna Be Sedated, because I vaguely remember someone talking about it when I said it was my favourite Ramones track.
