Are they the best thing to come out of Switzerland?
'L'amourir' remains one of my fav singles of the whole mid-80s industrial scene. However, when Franz decided to sing in English things went a little pear-shaped. But the entirety of L'eau Rouge is pretty brilliant.
Any other fans out there?
I have seen them in concert during the tour of this LP... almost 20 years ago, isn't it ?
I used to think that they never really crossed the Channel but I must be wrong...

Its almost been 20 years, I think L'eau Rouge was released in about 1988-89.
How was the show? I'm pretty jealous, I'd like nothing more than to have seen them on this tour!

At that time, the place where concerts took place used to offer a free one every mounth. All I remembered, beside the performance, is that it was a November 28th, but I cannot say if it was 1988 or 1989 - 1989 more like. Anyway, The Young Gods was the free concert of the mounth. Of course, a lot of people came so that the concert hall was full. The band must have been happy to play a kind of "sold out" venue. And it was very very good.
Sorry if you feel I am kidding you, but that is the way it was and this concert remains one of the best I ever seen...

I think I saw them in London with Nitzer Ebb or Front 242, perhaps. Does this sound possible?
Sounds very possible. I saw them about 10 years ago with Die Krupps. Neither band were any good.

Totally possible, they were all sort of lumped into the same 'scene.'
The Young Gods sound pretty convential--except--(and here is the kicker), they only have a drummer, singer, and one fellow playing with samples. Its pretty cool.
