Glad to see them finally getting some recognition from the Grammys. One of the most important bands of the 70's, they linked hard rock with English folk. Jimmy Page is one of the master of the RIFF. John Bonham was some drummer, John Paul Jones was a groovy, rock solid rhymic bassist, and Plant was some singer as well.
I think they ended at the right time, even though I like In Through The Out Door, the last album.
Any other fans out there?

Most people, when talking about Zep, seem to focus on the myths (selling soul to the devil, fish and groupie, whips used on groupies etc) but they bore the arse off me. Listen to Zep II and be converted.
Still one of the bands from my early rock phase that I listen to... Quality stuff all round... Saw Plant and Page on the Unledded tour in the nineties - awesome gig complete with Egyptian (or was it Morroccan?) orchestra... Must dig out some of their albums - seem to remember that III and Physical Graffitti had some really good 'hidden' gems on, alongside the (to me) more famous/mainstream albums...

Holy crap!!! That would have been amazing. I was glad that they didn't go under the name Led Zeppelin, as it would have cheapened the name. At least they did something different.

Presence is an underrated album. Dig that one out.
My father had their first three albums on eight-track, so I heard those plenty of times, though Physical Graffiti is probably my fave.
Can't say I'd be disappointed if I never heard Stairway To Heaven again in my life though :D
The DVD set that came out a couple of years ago is top-notch indeed.

It is. The Albert Hall set is a revelation.
The live album, How The West Was Won, is another belter. Best version of Stairway... I've ever heard. BTW, did you know that Stairway... was premiered at the Ulster Hall in Belfast?
The Song Remains The Same film isn't bad, but too gimmicky for my liking. Good version of the title track and Rock and Roll though.
It aint the 70's no more. Thank fuck.
Surely THE most overrated band in History. Lots of squealing like a girl, tedious guitar solos etc

I like "the Zepp", but I can hear every song of theirs on classic radio stations anytime of the day. It's that sort of saturation with one particular artists that tends to put me off a group at least in terms of buying anything (same thing with the Doors, Clapton solo, etc). 
And I'm firmly in the camp of "no more Stairway, please!" 
But "Kashmir" rules 
As much as I love led zepellin, I think I perfer John Squire trying to be jimmy page second coming circa. Except Since I've been loving you blows my mind everytime I hear it. Best blues rock song ever recorded.
Have their remaster box set. Love a few songs, but can't seem to be able to listen to more than2 songs at a time by them. Know I'm not appreciating what Ishould, but I'm not getting it.
