Nic did originally suggest a daily thread, and I'm inclined to agree if you can keep up with it Mike. It makes more sense. Start a sticky thread, delete it each morning.
Deleting the old thread and starting a new one everyday 35 pages of comments is too much to go though (like nic said above) and I'd rather not post if I don't think it's going to be read in 35 pages of comments. It's only Monday!

I know I don't post that often, but I agree that some of the threads are a bit too bizarre.
I think you need a balance though, where do you draw the line betwen what is 'silly' and what is a bit of a laugh?? I suppose my tin opener advice request may come into the 'silly' category!
I've never use a chatroom, maybe it is time to start.

I have the latest up to date version of java and still my computer doesn't like the chatroom
Is there irc co-orinates for it? I know a lot of sites with javabased chat I can get into them with a proper irc client. Oink.me.uk Uknova.com are two I'm thinking of straight off

What browser? it's working for me in linux in opera (tho kinda lumpy) and in firefox ( very nicely).
Assume your phone thing is not DOS-based so can't imagine it's a win-flog.

Another issue that's been overlooked is that of the NOOL blogs... As I understand it, people who make a donation to NOOL can ask Spotnick for a blog on NOOL- That way you can continue to inflate (or deflate) your ego in whatever way you desire!

Bizarre it must be your underlying Java, but I cannot think how or why.
As for blog....LOL..SOME people who donated were never credited :(
