Mine's Boondock Saints. Very popular with my high school and college friends. I heard that it's good for people who enjoy Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. Now, I've seen both of them. Why did I not see Boondock Saints?

one of my students last year lent it to me. i never watched it, sorry to say. he also gave me a film about card players--can't remember what it's called now or who starred in it, but it was pretty good. i gave him withnail & i, harold and maude, full metal jacket and 24HPP among others, and he enjoyed them very much.
i fulfilled my desire to see garden state a few months ago and i'm certainly glad i did.
Withnail & i.....Class. i watched that the other night, haven't watched it in a few years well worth revisiting.
on the subject though a guy at work keeps banging on about Green street, so i've borrowed it of him to give a scan over

Is "Rounders" the movie you're talking about Woodsy?
United 93...even though it just came out and I've heard it is very well-done, it is just something that I can't bear to watch yet (kind of like Schindler's List, arguably one of the greatest movies ever, but extremely difficult to swallow).
A lot of my college buddies are astounded that I've never seen either "The Big Lebowski" or "Fargo". I've seen parts of them (usually on cable), but never been motivated to sit through the whole thing.
My aunt is convinced I'd love "Napoleon Dynamite" if I saw it, but I refuse

LAC - One of my alltime favorite movies, and really the last decent thing either Russell Crowe or Kevin Spacey have done. Highly recommend it
Goodfellas - didn't believe the hype until I saw it in Film lab this past semester. Better than the Godfather (there, I said it).
Chasing Amy - I applaud Kevin Smith for trying to break out of the "slapstick" mold he'd set up for himself with "Clerks" and "Mallrats" (which is criminally underrated, imho). But this is a snoozefest for the most part. Better to skip this and go right ahead to "Dogma" (which is better at mixing comedy and drama) 1/2

I have never seen Clerks or really any of the Kevin Smith movies....
as well as "Rounders" (I missed a movie with Matt Damon in it? well i have to correct that!!!)

I'm actually in the same boat. I keep forgetting the name everytime I go to Blockbuster, and I've almost borrowed it 10 times, but something always comes up. Still haven't seen it, but I will by the end of this year.

no. it was one i'd never heard of before and not being able to remember its name is really ticking me off.

immediately see all 3. i've seen all coen brothers films, own most of them, and fargo is the best followed by blood simple (their first film--janet leigh gets a bit of revenge through frances mcdormand). i didn't like the big lebowski the first time i saw it, but it's really grown on me. GREAT parody of kraftwerk--peter stormare and his band 'autobahn.'
and you will love napoleon dynamite. you will learn to love the mighty animal, the liger, and whether or not chickens have talons.
The first thing I thought of after watching Napoleon Dynamite was whether or not there were extremely unhealthy levels of chemicals in the town water supply.
I kinda avoided GoodFellas for awhile, but the author of the book did a good job writing it (as with Casino), so that got me into the movie. It always seems to be playing on one of the HBO channels, so I always watch it whenever I see it's on.
Withnail & I has always been a fave of mine......and still haven't perfected the Camberwell carrot.....
I HATE watching Big Lebowski on Comedy Central, way too edited for my liking.
The one movie I've felt I've missed is Miller's Crossing, I'm not much in the way of renting movies, or suffering in loud, crowded cinemas with obnoxious patrons all around me.
Being a film-buff,I'm a bit embarrassed I only got to watch CASABLANCA recently,a class act it is too.Ingrid Bergmen's lovely. But a bit ashamed I haven't seen any other Bogie films like The Maltese Falcon or The Treasure of Sierra Madre. And my favourite film mag EMPIRE always cites CITIZEN KANE as one of the greatest movies of all time.Another film which has eluded me for years, Napoleon Dynamite's great by the way,I can't listen to Jamiroquai without thinking of this dance routine now!

the critics aren't lying when they say that every film that came after citizen kane owes something to that film (except for xanadu, ironically). the art direction and cinematography, in particular. i have the collectors' edition DVD which includes the documentary on the war between welles and hearst and how hearst ruined welles after citizen kane was released. it took years for that film to be recognized as a classic because hearst had most of the country's critics in his pocket. at least he had an interesting granddaughter.
i can't stand casablanca. i don't like humphrey bogart and i don't see why ingrid bergman would even think of leaving her husband for rick. bogart is too 'rough' for my liking and doesn't cut it as a romantic leading man unless he's paired with bacall, who looks like she would kick a man in the balls for sport.
bogart was in the mandolin club at school. he looks like a little angel in my grandfather's yearbook, holding his mandolin up. then the pair of them went and got themselves kicked out. apparently bogart hit a teacher, or something. the rumour that he tossed an instructor into rabbit pond is false.

Green, I thought the same thing. At first I hated the movie and thought it was the most stupid movie I had ever seen. I actually finally found it hilarious after watching it for the 8th time (not by choice).

I feel like I have missed out on a lot of good movies, especially movies starring Natalie Wood, James Dean, and Montgomery Clift. I think I need to watch some of those flicks soon.

Rebel Without A Cause is a good film,yet to see East Of Eden though.

natalie wood's best film is splendor in the grass with warren beatty. brilliant.

Just a nice, quirky, funny film 
Saw Crash last night. Thought it was flat at first with no story,but its quite clever how you never make any of the connections until the end when it all comes together and makes sense. Now,whats White Chicks like?
Saw the Mission for the first time two weeks ago, having thought, for aeons, it was one of those films which would literally 'blow me away' cos so many mates down the years had lauded its virtues.
Thought it was alright, little more, although the Morricone soundtrack is simply superb.
Am sure I heard a rumour that De Niro had his eyebrows insured for a million dollars for this film cos they get shaved off and he was worried they'd grow back pubic?! Urban myth then, cos I don't remember that in the film, unless of course they were just shearing a gap in his mono-brow?!
Have yet to see Saving Private Ryan. Another film I fully expect to sit and go 'Whoah!' at throughout the opening sequences.
no, but there are a lot of _bad_ movies that I feel a strange but genuine curiousity about but aren't prepared to actually pay money to see, not even a couple of quid to rent. e.g. 'aliens vs predator' or 'resident evil' 'assault on precinct 13' (remake) and quite a few others whose names escape me.
Also there are quite a few movies I've only ever seen the last 3/4s of because I turned on the TV part way through (e.g. Southern Comfort, Ronin, umpteen other forgettable ones) and again it isn't worth paying to see the beginning but I'm still curious as to what I missed. (I think TV companies should repeat the first 15 minutes of every movie after the end, to allow for this problem.)
I'd also like to see 'the inside man' sometime, but it'll have to wait till its rentable, cinema tickets are extortionate.
honestly i can't say that feel that i have missed out on any movies. anything that i haven't watched in the cinema and i want to see, i get on dvd anyway.
