Maya, how come I ain't on that list, and come to think of it why ain't I on top of the list ?
a more considered list.... My machines (PC's samplers, mixers, synths, misc boxes with lights that may or may not go "ping")
Formula1 ( tho I can exist for the winter months on stored nutrition and the occassional nourishment of the world rally championship)
UK made Sci-fi, because it consistantly hits the spot US shows only rarely reach. I actually feel the world is a better place again since last March when The Doc returned.
My few good friends. Mates I can live without, these days there not much Steve left for idle daft drinking and banter, but true trusted friends with whom I share a certain vibe are what keep me going. Sometimes just knowing that there's other people who understand your head and it;s inner workings is a powerfull booster.
and how could I have forgotten...MY BASS, my current one has been with me for 13 years now, it's fucked, yet I never replace it, so great is the bond between us.
coffee my music collection my machines (computers, instruments, record player) my kitten bogart (he's awesome is why) air, in all likelihood food, that's apparently another big one the post office (so many packages for NOOLers.)

fuck....forgot... LINUX but then whether we know it or not, most of us depend on Linux...nobody installs WINDOWS on a traffic management or ATC system ;)
Speaking of packages...shit bloke aint listenned to the one you sent him yet.

Wine Certain fruit that shall remain nameless Jeans Leather Gelato Pen and paper Evening stars
Being on deployments and trips to the field often, I have lived without pretty much everything. Other than the necessities, I really appreciate certian things and don't want to lose them again. . .
Alcohol Being able to have my bathroom in the same house, or more specifically: Not having to wake up and get dressed to walk 300 meters to the nearest place to take a crap in the freezing cold, and then realizing there's no toilet paper anywhere around. Sex
Well after rereading at the list, maybe they are necessities.

sounds good. that could almost be my list had i expanded it.
for peace of mind and adventure; probably 1. not being to far from the sea. That then would mean de-salination and water purification tablets.. 2. tea. 3. Coffee. 4. nice warm blanket. 5. the rest hopefully would take care of itself. plus 6. daily newpapers w/ the crossword 7. & a working computer.

and keeping on topic, I cannot live without the Avengers Emma Peel era episodes.
And in that vein...

She's gorgeous, i wanted one originally but fell in love with Alfie as a chick. He's a pain in the arse, but very entertaining (and cheeky).

Like I said...there's ONE nice bird in that household.
/me dives for the door.
I think I will return this thread to normal service now.
tho I could argue that it's at least non-optimal if not in any way impossible, to live without taking the piss out of Jem :D
