Only generally drink German lagers like Beck's and Grolsch and they're brewed under some ancient purity law aren't they? Think I'm ok then :uhoh: I should be getting only what's listed on the ingredients label.

Never liked the septic beers like Budweiser, Coors and all that. All that "When was your Bud born?" ad shite they tried on us a while back...

BudVar (the Czech one) is very nice though but unfortunately it's one of those beers that will (guaranteed) give me a headache the next day.

Beer finings, which are used to catch the sediment and help clear the beer, used to be made from fish inerds but have now been replaced apparently.

I drink Coors Light though it's not the greatest but it doesn't give me a headache next morning. :thumb:

That's because there isn't any alcohol in it.

My local has started doing Becks Vier. At only four percent, it doesn't make me quite so bladdered when I have four pints of it on a Friday lunchtime, but doesn't taste of piss like the cooking lagers do. Something had to give, I was considering giving up the pub all together on Friday after several embarassing afternoons in the office as a Kronenburg casualty.

The promotional barmats claim that there's four ingredients in Vier, but I can only find lager and foam

me thinks. i may just have to switch to german beer, german beer purity law and all that. germans seem to have a thing about purity.

you've no right to display that flag! (doubly so since y'all rioted and engaged in terrorism to get rid of it).

Disgusting.

You're move (in the international "whinier than thou" championships)

surely you can still get the real stuff. then again they have started making Becks and other geman beers here as well. it should still be ok, if they make it the same way.

Hey Rian, glad to see ya back. You haven't been in here for quite a long time. Looks like only booze threads drag your attention. :evil4:

I'm a beer pig, I don't care what to drink really. I just need to get pissed and knocked out.

What have I drunk so far today? -

  1. Hacker-Pschorr (that was good, brewed "in Munchen")
  2. Bitburger (crap, brewed in Bitburg)
  3. Warsteiner (so-so, brewed in Warstein) :thumb:
