as you guys know oil is fookin expensive. I hate it, but there is no cure for me, I have a petrol engine. BUT there is an excellent idea for diesel engines owners - rapeseed oil. Many taxi drivers here in Warsaw get already that fuel. Supposedly an idea came from Germany, cos there is I think most expensive oil in whole Europe. If I had diesel I would buy my fuel in tesco, hehehe.

we have lpg or liquid petroleum gas as an alternate fuel here.

lpg is available in the uk, but if you have lpg be prepared to pay well over the odds for any maintenance work, used to work for a firm that did car maintenance & we used to ramp up the price if it was lpg

i did say here. for some bizarre reason diesel actually cost more than normal petrol here, but lpg is much cheaper. sure it develops about 20% less , but if you are running a big V8, which i am not, you should have your money back after about two years.
