Best player in the world my arse. Watch this now, score a few goals in the world cup, do a few tricks against shit teams, and get world player of the year again. Stevie Gerrard, Lampard, Terry et all will get ignored, even if England stroll to the world cup.

Really tough one to call, that decision. Technically he did the right thing, an act of serious foul play was punished, but he could have allowed an advantage to take place, but would then have had to go back and caution Lehmann. Been thinking about it ever since, and I am convinced he did the right thing by the letter of the law, which has to be his first concern.
Regardless of which teams were playing (as you know I hate Arsenal!) it was the right decision to send Lehmann off and award the freekick.

Nah, Ronaldinho is the best player in the world for sure. He makes the difference. Look what he did in the second game against Chelsea (where was Lampard in the two matches?) and in the first against Milan. And What is Barcelona if he doesn't play? It's just that sometimes he's completly off, and that's what worries me in the World Cup. Today was very atypical: all Barcelona players had a great great performance, except him.
While it's always a pleasure to see you lot lose....I must confess I am gutted for poor Bonz. Still, and enjoyable game, if one of frustrated football, even for a non believer like me. Ref seemed to take a while working out there were two teams tho. Must also admit I was very impressed with the level of sportsmansip on display which is often nil in this game. Most of the players seemed very posrting with the excetion of a coupla of arses...notably Cole who wants punching.
Did anyone else feel sure that pissing rain would give lahndahnahs the advantage ?

That's bollocks, Hubert. Losing in a final might not be something to shout about but it's not half bad either.
The sort of teams that lose in finals are the sort of teams that win finals.
This summer Arse can hold their heads higher than Chavski, Man U, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Juve, etc.

Long journey home today, but probably had one of the best times of my life out in Paris.

My offer still stands to anyone who has had a police 'check'. Go to Madrid then come to Menorca, look after my 2 teenagers for 24 hours whilst I go to Barc, take in the pool, the a/c, the food, the wine...................and I will be eternally grateful. The Kids are OK, you know, as long as you like shite music, you'll be fine. Oh, and Mikey likes his toast done brown, but not burned; Jess likes hers like warm bread; not too much butter - Mikey likes a spoon and a half in tea; Jess doesnt; they like to eat out every night (I'll pay - obviously); and Mikey likes fish restaurants but Jess doesnt ....you know, it will be a walk in the park.
