Only watched the second hald but some promising signs (Lennon seems to have played well, Walcott had his moments), and some comedy fcuk-ups... Let's face it if we had have won 4-0 everyone'd be saying that it meant nothing... I'm still confident we can pull it round by the competition proper... But I'm also prepared for disappointment again...

Quite right - you're either behind the team, or you're not.
(Or, if you're Scottish, you have deep desire to see them go all the way but can't say so in case your friends laugh at you so you spend your whole time wining about how England have 'no chance' in a loud voice and sending 'funny' emails about how shit England are to your English friends (even the ones that don't really give a fuck about football) and moan on and on about 1966 and the behaviour of the fans at Euro '98 and spend all of your money on replica shirts for whatever team England are playing against).

O.K. to me england aren't stand out favourites,but neither is anyone else..before rooney was in the team regular, people said we had a chance in 2006.so WHATS CHANGED.we have as good a chance as anyone and i have a funny feeling owen is going to do the stuff..we are fucking AVIN IT.
