The word gay lives thru another mutation in America. Now it doesn't necessary mean homosexual, but also may mean weird or stupid in verbal exclamations.

Apropos... The Pet Shop Boys were at a local radio station yesterday. They said they were homosexual, but not gay... Can anyone explain that to a non-english. I always thought that was the same thing. Are the gays perhaps those that are acting and dressing like a woman?
Actually, that remark kind of reminds me of something I read in an interview with the actor and director of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. He seemed to mean that he was a homosexual but he wasn't going to be flamboyant about it and shout it from the rooftops. I kind of see the same with the Pet Shop Boys. They may be gay but they're not a gat act, like the Indigo Girls, for example.

Below is a link to a Pet Shop Boys interview on a Swedish Music blog, where I thought they were talking about how they chose their name. However, I just read it again and they don't actually talk about that at all. 
Still, I think it's quite an interesting read to anyone who likes the band. Bernard Sumner also gets a mention near the end, although I don't think their comment is relevant anymore. Mind, this interview was originally published in 2004, before WFTSC.
Apparently Stephen Hague is not too fond of their use of orchestra hits. Not a big fan of trademark sounds, is he?
