I posted this just a minute ago in another thread:

I met Brandon basically at a squirrel house frequented by squirrels and so began a relationship, that I'm battling to keep, cos' his parents don't like me very much- they're a little on the nutty side- I mean something , by observing, is not quite right about them. His older brother has a wife, and Brandon's mother keeps bringing her up. Well, I'm sorry but I can't be like her. I'm me, damn it. And I can't "esplain"(accent) very well, the situation....its something you'd have to see. Its like she's saying one thing to your face and then her actions are totally different from what she's saying(like she thinks I'm nice and sweet-which I am and then she locks me out of the house then goes and slams things around in a room against a window, when I try to come back in, she smartass-ly replies " Oh,someone locked you out of the house"- I live on my own,for the record). Her son having ADD, and being her youngest son....she fucking babied him and still does. He's 32, goddam it. I care for him deeply, but I'm not marrying and having kids with someone who's mother and father acts negatively toward me. His father, thats another weird story.... So this is going to either end soon or suffer til' its untimely death.

What would you guys do in this situation from what little I've explained....?

Nevermind, I found the answer. No one can answer a question that has no answer that can be right for me anyway. I guess its something I just have to figure out.

Welcome to the wonderful, horrible world of dating, relationships and love

Kinda hard to stay with someone when the family hates you. Which is why you should creep around late at night and slowly smother the family members who hate you the most, until all that are left realize you are not to be messed with :evil4: :uhoh:

I realize this may be the worst possible solution to your problem, but that's the best I can do tonight :p

well, i made his mother nervous by being straightforward and asking her why her and her husband were doing certain things and she was like " i don't know what you're talking about" like four times. Yeah, she does know what I am talking about. She just doesn't want her son living back at home with her and his father. I'm not homicidal, but I take that as you being funny. So, ha ha. I just thought about slapping her a few times. But his dad has a loaded gun in the house....so....thats something I didn't mention yesterday. I called my father to come and get me because I didn't feel safe at my bf's parents house. His dad, went in the other room where the guns were and came back into the kitchen and stood behind me for about six seconds or so...and kept pacing back and forth, its like the feeling of being at the wrong place at the wrong time....just a feeling that you're in danger... and he stood behind me again, and right before he started doing all that, his wife left the room....so I pretty much made a break for the phone, and called my father....

I've been trying to break up with him, but he won't leave. I have the lovely task of calling his mother and telling her that I am not going to put up with her and her husbands bullshit and that her son is moving back in with her whether she likes it or not. I have plans that don't include him anyway. He's merely just an interference. And there's other things, but I believe that I have said enough.

I just feel that he's not the one.I want someone who is going to do something with their life or all ready has. :duel:

I was kidding about the smothering. Though, judging from your latest episode, that might not be such a bad idea :nervous:

Leave the bum, if he and his family prefer to live in the wild frontier just outside the Thunderdome and intimidate you it's not worth it. I don't know how many times I've had the following conversation with a girl:

Girl: My boyfriend's a jerk, treats me like crap, orders me around, etc, etc.

Me: Why not leave him (especially for me)?

Girl: You don't know him. He's great, really.

Me: You just got done saying he's an asshole.

Girl: But he's my boyfriend!

Me: Excuse me, I believe it's time to start on that drinking habit I've been meaning to develop. :beer2:

So good for you, if you have indeed kicked him to the curb. I didn't like him already (he has the same first name as the douchebag dating/domineering my current crush) :nonono:

That's the problem, Trev. I said that in a thread before about "nice" guys. Right there, you should be worried about being her friend not about when it's your turn.

I don't mean friends first and relationship maybe somewhere down the road if she wants it. It has to be friends first and only. If you go in with those expectations then you may find yourself surprised later. It's better to be surprised than disappointed.
