love will tear us apart/blue monday

I was watching videos on youtube.com and I turned down the volume on love will tear us apart and had another window open and played the first blue monday video, this was out of boredom, with the volume up of course and watched the love will tear us apart video with the music to blue monday. in some parts it matches....when the jd video ended where the door was being opened, thats when the "ahhhhh" vocal started....i thought it was pretty neat.

i had never seen a joy division or new order video until five days ago. i know i'm going to catch hell for this, but ian curtis dances somewhat like a girl, or some dude at a disco wearing speedos roller skating around with a huge fucking afro....did that guy ever smile?

at least you can't watch a band live or on video and say 'hey, he dances like ian curtis!'

There's a few pictures of Ian smiling, but they're rare. For a guy who killed himself, you wouldn't expect as much.

As for his dancing, there's something endearing about it, kinda like "bless the boy for trying, he really has the spirit right". Though I'm willing to bet, if I got drunk enough...I'd just look ridiculous

I saw Ian Curtis dancing on a Transmission video, and it was pretty painful. It is too bad he killed himself because I could have always been able to say I'm not the world's worst dancer.

I chaperone a "dance" at this local church where these bands come and play for the kids. It keeps them out of trouble etc.

There are so many bands that try and sound like jd and dance like ian. I like it because it was much better than when i was a kid and they were all trying to be nirvana.

The pub where I go to, sometimes has different music to the music videos they're playing, and when I'm a bit tipsy, they always seem to synch quite well. :D

you know, i can't dance either, but sometimes i get mean and i don't know if thats because people have been mean to me or i'm always cranky....maybe its both....i like ian curtis as a performer,that sounding funny with the guy being gone....okay i like what he has left behind. i guess its better than telling a conartist that he probably sleeps with a transvestite that smells like nose drip and cattle. and that he sleeps with a nightlight because he's afraid that the teletubbies will steal his shaft.
