I'll do most things, but I think i can safely rule that one out! ![]()
Although I suppose if a village needed pillaging, that sounds like fun.

Paging Peter Hook, Paging Peter Hook!!!
I went to a Civil War recreation once, where (surprise, surprise!) the South won the battle. It was one of those "never actually happened" ones, of course. Kind of pointless, really...I want my money back! ![]()
As for the Vikings, one of my teachers put it best when she said "they come to your village, take your shit, and burn it down" ![]()

They do revolutionary reenactments as well
I do know someone who was probably the coolest person i've ever met. He was very good looking, good job, pretty girlfriend (soon the be wife) everything was coming up rosey for this kid. Then I found out he spent his weekends doing civil war reenactments.
I couldn't believe it

Well, I suppose everone has a skeleton in the closet. ![]()
Revolutionary War reenactments would be cool though. Mostly in VA, I assume.

Massatwoshits and PA are all I know... in PA they do that washington crossing the delaware thing and the valley forge battle recreations.. i went to one once when i was in school
They do Revolutionary War reenactments here as well, which is nice considering that South Carolina was the site of the most battles during the war (it's a fact, look it up). I went to the Camden battlefield once on the way to the beach, and there are all sorts of markers throughout the state about who fought who and who won and so on. Compare that to the Civil War, where there was Fort Sumter, Sherman burning down Columbia...and that's about it ![]()
Definitely cooler to be a RW reenactor (if only for the tricorner hats) ![]()
Yeah, the revs definitely had the fashion advantage. Don't forget the kickers, wigs, and pantaloons.
I actually did go to a Civil War reenactment up here. Yes, they occasionally have them in the North, too. Here, the good guys (North) won. Yay! Very small scale and cheap compared to many of ths ones in VA and thereabouts, I'm sure.
