I know there's a few Stranglers fans on the board, latest news is they're back playing as a four piece again. Paul Roberts who replaced Hugh Cornwell on vocals has quit the band.It was the first gig last night and have heard very positive reviews.Vocals are now shared by JJ and Baz Warne (a mackem) who also plays guitar.

Next gig is at 'Robin2' in Bilston nr Wolverhampton......tickets selling fast !!

i love hugh cornwell's voice. especially on 'always the sun' and 'golden brown.' i can't imagine the band without him, really.

They actually arent that bad. The new/old singer isnt Hugh Cornwell, but at least he never tried to imitate him.

I've got a bunch, too, but honestly he is not what I look forward to seeing at the moment. Plus he appears too theatrical and somewhat artificial on stage.

I saw them four times in 2004. He has made a good job then.
