Download Festival was amazing. Highlights:

Killing Joke (obviously) Guns N Roses (turned up on time, but Rose walked off twice. Put on a great show) Cathedral (proper doom metal) The Prodigy (got an elbow up the head) Gay For Johnny Depp (camp as a row of pink tents) Ginger and the Sonic Circus (good old rock n roll)

Met some really sound people. Apparently there was a riot after I left....

Glad you enjoyed it! How were The Prodigy?

Prodigy were great. Tent was packed and no one could get in. Played a great set.

J.A.K, the setlist was:

Communion Wardance Total Invasion Unspeakable:love2: Song And Dance Gratitude Wait (Dedicated to Metallica, who were playing that night: 'We'll show the fuckers how to play it') Asteroid Whiteout Pssyche Pandaemonium

Tent was about 85% full, but only 3 people I spoke to knew who the Joke were. They were brilliant, Jaz was on top form, and Geordie was perfect as well.

Lead singer stripped to his boxers, stuffed a box down them and went into the crowd.:D

Still up for Depeche?

Chris, what were Cathedral like nowadays - used to have a bit of a soft spot for them especially in their disco doom phase (Statik Majik EP :thumb: )... Saw them once or twice, once supporting Sabbath, years ago and they were 'kin good... Haven't heard any of their recent stuff, so don't know what they're up to now...

Tbh I've never heard any of their stuff, but they played some heavy stuff. Crowd went mental for them. Started a slam pit. That'd put hairs on your chest.

Cool, if they play near me, I may have to check them out... For nostalgia's sake... :guitar:

You really should, Gnome. They were awesome.:thumb:

Sadly I missed Alice In Chains and Henry Rollins, but my mate saw AIC, and said everyone in the main field sang Rooster back at them.

No, the one way system they had in operation meant that I'd have had to walk in a circle to get to the stage to see Henry then get back to the stage where the Joke were playing.

Didn't hear a thing about Alter Bridge, so might have been rubbish. Metallica, as you know, played the Master Of Puppets album in it's entirity and a few from Kill Em All, I think.

That went down very well.:evil4:
