There's a good dozen of those I would dispute as being the US's to fully claim.....but it would be ingracious, tis a fine list.

your right america can't claim d-day totaly, i only mention it in memory of the family member i lost there.

putting a man on the moon, experimental deep space probes, sending probes to every planet, and all the technology given back to the public in the form of velcro and microwave ovens.

currently we have a space shuttle launching, men living in a space capsule, and blueprints for mars.

wvb was no doubt an asset to the space community from germany. the russians have a fantastic space history.
