is the shed actually a mental health unit?

Al please desist from using that as if it was said that way. U know perfectly well it was a simple mathematical response to a VERY simple loada dribble about nobody in the shed ever going to gigs. I countered ridiculous, retarded dribbles, with exactly the same, and I feel a bit hard done by that you single out what I said (which, since I never said the bit about being best, just the plain maths of it, is true) and omit the plainly false thinking which brought it on.

PS, judging from the original pics of Johnny's shed that gave rise to the name of the thread....I would offer that a trebuchet may be less suited to the task than a firm shove :D

Fcuking hope not. Have you seen any sheds recently? Even the toughest of them would fall apart under seige. Couple of cauldrons of burning oil or a direct hit from a trebuchet and they'd be fcut. If you're gonna brick yourself off from the outside world and invite attack then at least choose a castle, or a substantial manor house as yer basecamp. Don't pick a lightweight garden structure which starts to rattle at the slightest of gales.

Remember, a higher percentage of Shedheads attend New Order gigs than the rest of us mere mortals. They're the best!

Maybe J.A.K.'s idea of a garage would prove to be a wiser choice, then...

I know this has been discussed before, but the quote about various 'groups' of NOOLers dedication to gig-going, etc. was taken out of context and its continued use to have a dig at everyone and anyone who posts in the Shed only creates more divisions and antagonism... I'm not trying to claim any superiority for myself or anyone else who be lumped under the banner of 'Shedhead'...

We are the best though... :thumb:

I have a nose for this kind of thing C.. Even you said "here comes a shark tapping at the bottom of the shed" when I dropped by to say hello! I've never even dissed the shed:shrug: Might have made a recommendation that someone get down to crac-converters and get £50 crac-back to intersperse the bilge in the shed, tho

LOL...think what you posted...you were "singing" show me the way to go home. Now, MOST people have seen Jaws and MOST people would know that the shark starts fucking with them when they're singing that song.

And it's the Shedists who are paranoid? Sheesh.

I know, but I do like repeating dribble verbatim as if it were fact! :thumb:

"18 out of 20 shedheads do New Order gigs! Fact!"

That could be your selling point?!

Who's the 2 letting the side down though?! :skeptic:

No, no, I appreciate it, I've been known to worry the odd bone to dust myself for my own amusement and the irritation of others. Perhaps a short disclaimer is in order when you do use it? :D Besides didn't we aggree that under the same criteria, the luton Order score 100% attendance at an astounding number of performances?

Some people would have said something more graceful if they'd been mistakenly believing they'd been slighted when in fact no such thing had occurred.

I assure you sir it WAS purely a movie referrence.

Sorry Steve - couldn't remember who said that in the first place - I didn't see the original context of the quote - it has been brought up a few times since, and used on its own I don't think it is terribly accurate, maybe because I let the side down having never seen NO live, BUT i did say that I thought it was taken out of context, which it clearly was... I was trying (and not succeeding terribly eloquently) to point out that I, for one, didn't want to be portrayed as being part of any elitist group claiming superiority over others, not that that is the case with anyone, but that's how it's portrayed sometimes... Didn't mean to suggest that you were in any way trying to be elitist or make false claims, fella... Apologies... :(

If I thought I had been slighted,I would have said at the time Cambo:nod: To suggest I am ungracious...Well now I am slighted! Its not me threating to carry weapons to gigs :nono: Ungracious,nay....Cowardice personified where I come from! Think first, type second!

I apologize Boaty, my bad. Mayhaps a few more smilies in there would have conveyed that I was only gassing. And as to the other issue, I already told you it was purest bluff. Knives and guns are chickenshit things for chickenshit folks. And that's my word, and not my blather.

Tho I'm open to suggestions as to how one would defend one's self when lifting one's feet to kick or arms to block or punch is all but impossible. Right now I couldn't fend off an enraged butterfly.

I have'nt the foggiest what you did to piss BA and Bonzette off Cambo. What's more,I'm not arsed...But if you are going to put yourself in a situation where you might have to defend yourself, that's your own doing and you should be able to,or say fuck all in my view...

You are the only person who is giving off unstable paranoia vibes, when people will meet up for real at gigs! Is that how you would like to be perceived? I did'nt think you were a bad sort, just a Tardis undied, bright, eccentric fella.. until you went down that road... Unfortunatly these things stick..And if I see you at Gigs,I'll be frisking you before we converse civilised..

When did this start appearing in the English language?! "My bad"?!

It's nonsense, but I'm seeing it everywhere now. Just read a pub review of somewhere I'm visiting Sunday and the review ended "My bad".

My bad whaaat?! Speak proper!

I love it how some people post what they really think.

Then add a few smileys.

Then backtrack and claim they were only joking all along.

P.S. You're all cunts :D:):D:)
