Support Act For Liverpool, July 8th

Ulster firebrands Alloy Mental are going to support New Order at the Liverpool Pops event, July 8. The act were personally chosen by New Order bassist Peter Hook. He was given a CD by Phil Kieran at a Spanish festival and rang back the next day to make the booking. Phil is clearly pleased. "New Order have been one of my favourite bands since I was a kid so I'm really looking forward to it. I'm not all that nervous to be honest for some reason. We're going to play a slightly different set to make it special, and we just can’t wait to get over there and see how it goes."
