My Job Is Better Than Your Job Because....

I get to roll on the floor while women take hysterics at me because they can't take their kids on holiday owing to them being really really stupid people.
And I get to work all night and sleep most of the day.
Apart from that it's like buttbucked with a cactus using chilli oil for lube.
I work for the Council.
Flexi-time - nuff said! Good money. Sponsorship for Further Education. Great holidays too, 31 days plus bank hols.
Be nice to meet Geoff Hurst though. :)
I work right next to Highbury, and only 5 mins from the Emirates!![]()
Can work from home whenever I want!![]()

31 days?!
Holy shit. That's just about impossible here these days (unless you're a teacher). I want to trade jobs with you.

It's not exactly the norm here either, I get 25 days which includes the 8 bank holidays. But then this thread is about why we're glad to do the jobs we do, so I'm not going to moan about that here.

Yeah, that's why I want to trade jobs with her! It sounds like you get about the same total number of days off as I do, then. I've heard in France the get a LOT of days off. Lucky them. Anyway, I'm still trying to think of why my job is better than yours...nope, still haven't thought of a reason...:(
Persuaded United to build the North Stand and subsequently got a season ticket.
so my story goes anyway
Job 1: Project Management is FUN! Good People, Good Holidays, Good Benefits (Health Care until a candidate wins can provide me with healthcare and I can quit this job). Project Management has its place in politics, so I'm learning a lot that can be used on campaigning and things. My manager is currently understanding about other responsibilities.
Job 2: I get to boss people around :P, I am good at what I do so I'm pretty well respected and I get more responsibilities, It's exhilirating, even though it takes every waking hour that I'm not at Job 1--so about 80 hours--it's all over after election day (but then it starts again in December), potential for $$$$, can be creative.
I don't work....:p ![]()
Actually being on the sick sucks, but the best bit of it is no work, no workmates, no boss etc
I sulked, complained and annoyed people for 6 months, and was rewarded with promotion and a pay rise.
1 week later i handed my notice in!

Rock on
Aha!
i have flex-time (an extra day off every other thursday)
we have a gymnasium in the building
we have a pretty good cafeteria in which you can use your ID card to charge lunch and they automatically deduct it from your paycheck
also when i tell people "oh me? yeah i work for the federal reserve" they get all intrigued
we also get free monthly metro card passes for the subway and the pay is okay too

While I been off, the other two geezers I work with have become Who fans. so now when the girls are off, it's "steve, let's watch Dr Who on my laptop, I downloaded some Jon Pertwee ones".
Hell I tell you, hell.

same here for 3 years... I doubt about the fact that I will find a boss someday who tells me : "Jiphy, come when you can and that will be ok... and don't get injured on the way, I'll send you a cab..."
on the other side, it does not mean a lot of incomes, but I am too sick and tired to have opportunities to spend it...
Off by 10 a.m on Wednesday, usually by 1 p.m. on Friday, and lots of free food and drinks all over the valley.

can't think of too much except that currently I don't have to do much, well i can't as for the past two weeks we were having major computer problems.
My sympathies to those on the sick Having just got back to work after two years on the sick ( and not a lot better really, I just got told, "nope, back to work".), I know how sitting around all day SEEMS like a great idea, until you do it for a while.
