If Carlesberg made footy songs, yes...
Nowhere near the Order's best,as you say..
And Shug,oh ye,fuck im
Delimetri fans eh?tsk!
Surely some sort of record has been acheived for thread hijacking here?
Never mind the subject, let's get straight in with what WE want to speak about :P
Aren't Marion the New Lad's band?
Bit of a girly name Marion.....I would'nt mind hearing some of their work,to form an opinion all the same...
Never heard anything from them, except that time when Robin Hood intervened to stop that dastardly King John having his wicked way![]()
Me and G-Man stood right next to Phil at the Apollo after party.
I was literlly too out of it to speak and G was more interested in talking to his mate (a drummer of some celebrity who I didn't recognise).
Lucky axcape for the Cunningone - he'd never have been able to get rid of me once I'd started on him.
Ah well, Happy Days!
Night and Day in September. I got my ticket when Kloot played there, which was 5 weeks ago now!
Confused here...Are they still on the go? Were they a now defunct guitar based band, in the 95 Brit pop era?
Ness Order wrote: Never heard them, what type of stuff do they play??
All I know is they were Phil Cunningham's old band.
Guessing they were around about ten years ago..Never heard anything by them tho![]()

You like everyone Jack!
Ok..Recommend a song by Marion, and I will try to track it down![]()

You've already told us that, but not given any indication to what they sound like. If they are like Pearl Jam, don't think I'd be interested ![]()
I always get them confused with Gene... No idea why, though... Don't think I've heard anything by them... Second the vote for Jack to recommend a track to check out...

the debut album "this world and body" is good, that's what i have
you could probably pick it up for really cheap now. ![]()

Ebay then.

Love the whole album... It may just be the 'name' thing, but then I never get them confused with James... ![]()

No,I never confused anyone with James...James broke my heart when they split.....I feckin loved em!!!
You had to see James live,to see just how good they were!
Their albums were a bit hit and miss, but as a live band they were a totally different animal...The studio albums never quite captured it in the same way..A fine, fine bunch of musicians! Sadly missed...Getting Away With It(all messed up) Farewell gig on DVD.Strongly recommended. Also available on CD.Marvellous![]()
Saw 2 clips with them on Rage in 2002 when NO were guest programmers("Time" as mentioned by Jack and "Sleep"-nowt too bad IMHO)
Marion claim to be Macclesfields THIRD biggest export - after Joy Div and Macc Lads.
Weren't they peddlars of rather nondescript goth rock with a hint of the Smiths? Or something...

its Sisters of Mercy, from the song "Marian" its the one German verse.
What I can do and what I could do I just don't know anymore Give me something beautiful again Drag me from the sea I hear you calling Marian Can you hear me calling? I am here alone I hear you calling Marian Without your help I am lost in this place
