Bands I'd snaffle tickets for, without giving it much thought: ACR, Chemicals, Client, Kraftwerk, Ladytron.

Been listening to a lot of Colder, Radio 4 and Prodigy recently.

Plaid Orbital Kraftwerk Underworld Hybrid

Stone Roses James Charlatans Smiths Big Audio Dynamite

are all mainstays with me..... Bit of a cherry picker, with songs from lots of different bands nowadays, past and present without having an affinity to the bands really. Quite like a few of The Editors,Delays, and Upper Room's tracks, from the new bands.

Favorite bands: The Beatles The Who The Kinks The Clash The Jam Radiohead Weezer Beach Boys Pink Floyd XTC Belle and Sebastian The Animals REM Sex Pistols Beastie Boys Travis The Band Velvet Underground Ramones Talking Heads Oasis (pre-Standing on Shoulders, anyways) The Cure :nervous: The Smiths The Yardbirds (mostly when Clapton was there, but also some of their pop stuff)

Solo artists: John Lennon David Bowie Iggy Pop Lou Reed Eric Clapton (well, when he played with the Bluesbreakers, and I just picked up the "Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs" LP) Nick Drake (on the basis of one album) Jonathan Richman

Feels like I'm missing a few hundred suggestions

I thought about listing those bands, but didn't because I only own one album from each so I feel like a poseur if I list them and then get asked about the albums I don't have

But the albums that I have (Good News for People Who Love Bad News, Plans, and Is This It, respectively) are some of my favorites :thumb:

Well, I don't want to continue the issue on this thread. People are going to gang up on me for hijacking it.

Back on topic:

The bands that I was afraid to mention on this thread are Coldplay and U2.

Well, as I do not smoke (cigarettes qui font rire et qui relaxent) anymore, when I have an opportunity to smole one, the choice is quickly made...

So, here is a short list : Joy Division by winter nights... New Order until Technique... I feel I waste the stuff otherwise... Trisomie 21 Asylum Party Alain Bashung Erik Satie Maybe one more thing or two - depends on the mood And Kraftwerk with a very close friend of mine... lights off, lying on the sofa, Radioaktivität as loud as possible... (the trip is top as he has old devices of the 70's - I am always hypnotised by the old analogic peak values gauges)

And when I am fed up by neighbors' commercial radios, I put records of Front 242 on... Never lost a match, never had a complain...

And Dexy's Midnight Runners had how many hits? I think the Boomtown Rats are a hit factory compared to them. Don't get me wrong, Come on Eileen is one of my favorite songs of all time, though. :thumb:
