What do you think about Eastern European girls?

I went to high school with a lot of Eastern European immigrants in high school. Yes, a lot of the girls were gorgeous - better looking than your average diseased Philly girl - but a lot were average, in my opinion.

I heard that it's the cold climate that made them beautiful. I don't know. Is this sort of stereotypical? I could care less where someone is from.

Only ever known one Polish woman. And she was annoyingly snobbish (apparently 40 years of communism and they still have supercillious posh people - who'd have thought it?). Would hardly be fair to judge an entire nation on one person though.

OK, here's a question based solely on photos I commonly see in the news.

Apparently all Eastern European girls (say, 18-30) are stunningly gorgeous. (Hi Maya!) But every other photo I see is of the hunched old crone (60 and up) in the park feeding pigeons and wearing a heavy coat and what we call the "babushka." Very frumpy, very large, very weathered.

So, what happens between 30 and 60 over there? Marriage?
