I fuckin love the Pixies, and was really hoping they would make something new. Oh well :(

SAME PLACE!! I'm surprised I didn't see you. 
Hopefully, we'll continue to see solo recordings from Frank Black between Pixies tours. His solo work has its ups and downs, but he's recorded some amazing material away from the Pixies.
In any case, the Pixies would be hard pressed to record another "Doolittle." Can't say I wouldn't like to see them try, though.
It don't matter all that much that they're never going to record again. Saw a live gig of theirs on tele last summer and it looked fantastic, seeing them in Spain in 2 weeks and can't wait!
Fat Black has hit the nail on the head by what he has said. Sure, play a few gigs just for the love of it, but avoid making new records as this will almost certainly soil the great legacy they left behind when they originally spilt. Why piss on a near perfect back catalogue anyway?

I don't blame them for getting backing together to make some $$$$. Were all those bands(see Nirvana) capitalized on the pixies sound, the pixies were never a money maker when they existed in the late 80's. They deserved their share.
Very rarely has a classic band reformed and recorded new material with satisfying results. Other than NO, I can't think of any other groups that managed to put out interesting material past their percieved "cut-off date" or break-up...and I'm not sucking up because this is New Order Online, either

I was this close to buying the new album, then thought "nah, can't be worth it". The record store shut down a few weeks later. :(

you're be surprised, it as good as their material from the 80's . Can't say the same for New Order

frank released a new one a couple of months ago. thefrank black francis album was very interesting with the reworked pixies songs
but they peaked a long time ago the brixton shows were great when they first came back butlast tour they just seemed to be going through the motions imo - nowhere near as good as they were on the doolittle or bossanova tours.
i love pixies past stuff ,so if they make no more tracks it will at least keep them as legends for that time.their t in park festival set 2004 will live with me forever
