They do deserve it if they have been fixing matches though, that sorta thing shouldn't be in football.

Juventus expected to be relegated to Serie B with quite a few points deducted.

Lazio and Fiorentina expected to join Juve in Serie B next season, but with less points deducted then Juve.

AC Milan come out of this the best, looks like they will stay in Serie A with a few points knocked off.

That's not confirmed yet, but that's what is likely to happen.

Good thing could be top stars from those clubs wanting to leave - hopefully see some signings at Old Trafford soon - especially as Ferguson just confirmed Ruud Van Nistelrooy has asked to leave.

Well, I couldn't care less, about Italian football. Never did, never will.

Same goes for english and german football....

Everyone knows that the only thing that counts is money. And if money is because of fixed matches, then it is.

Juventus: Down to Serie B, start at -30 points, lose scudetti 2005 & 2006, .

Fiorentina: Down to Serie B, start at -12 points.

Lazio: Down to Serie B, start at -7 points.

AC Milan: Remain in Serie A but start at -15 points, no Champions League losing 44 points from last year.

Scudetti 2005 & 2006 go to no one.

Messina, Lecce and Treviso will probably avoid relegation and get to stay in Serie A.

During the last couple of days, Berlusconi has been arguing that more time had to be given to the accused to defend themselves and that next season should just go on status quo.

Now, I'm not a footie fan, but hearing something like this is just disgraceful. In my side of the Atlantic, Barry Bonds could be indicted this week for perjury when saying that he did not use steroids. Liar. Cheating in anything, especially sports, is a disgrace.

It would never work in baseball. Major League umps are so full of themselves, you couldn't get them to agree to do anything. Then again, bad calls are so prevalent they don't even raise suspicion.

this is about cheating in italian soccer. why do you feel it neccessary to expose your ignorance by posting on something you admit you know nothing about.

Wonder what's the chances of any of these punishments being reduced? All 4 clubs are appealing I think.

They might be reduced a little, but outside of the supporters of the teams involved, I haven't noticed many analysts writing that the punishments are too severe. I'd be very surprised if it changes much. :rip: :dead::dead::dead::dead: :\party:

I suppose you're right. Not quite match fixing, but it must be intimidating to ump a Yankees game in New York. I also really don't like it when certain pitchers get favorable calls out of respect. If they're so good, shouldn't the strike zone be the same as everybody else?
