Oh man, this Transformers movie is gonna suck so much its untrue!

Isn't there a big worry that good ol' michael Bay is gonna change Optimus Prime from a truck?

i'm of the same opinion, i'm just a sucker for this kind of fodder, turn any comic/cartoon/toy into a film and 9 times out of 10 i'll go see it.

Michael Bay should stay the fuck out of things he has no business in, like the big-budget remakes of 1970s and 1980s horror flicks he's doing. Just give him enough money to make some shit explode and leave him to his own devices.

So long as he doesn't turn it into another Coke advert like he did with Pearl Harbour and Armaggeddon.

Your post interested me into googling for other info. Found the trailer. . .don't quite get it. Why are the Transformers from Mars, but yet they can change into vehicles that we drive today??? Guess the movie will explain it, but the trailer makes me think it'll be a dud. And trailers are suppose to make you WANT to watch the movie. http://www.transformersmovie.com/

Yeah, I have the same problem with the concept. It's a bit different when it's a kids' cartoon, you don't need to be too realistic. When when it's a megamillion dollar Hollywood movie, you have to (I hope) make some pretense at something somewhat realistic.
