Last night I took the missus to see Bryan Adams at the Summer Pops. Now he's not my cup of tea but she's a big fan. Anyway I'm only mentioning this as the arsehole security knobs were at it again.
Quite a few girls / kids were running up to the barriers taking pictures and the heavy handed tossers were marching them back to their seats.This went on for a bit until Bryan stopped the concert and said if anyone wants to take his picture they were more than welcome and for the security to back off. Apparently this also happened the last time he played the Pops. Once again there was a police presence.
It seems these incidents weren't prevalent to New Order. My first thought about the police presence at the New Order gig was about the Manc / Scouse thing. As it happens I don't recall any kick offs anyway. To have the police in attendance just aggravated things at New Order and last night.
Perhaps the promoters need to advertise a more competent security company for future concerts at the Summer Pops.
