Hey, now, what about Der Kommissar, Vienna Calling, and Jeanny? True, though, most Americans these days would probably consider him a one hit wonder.
who you calling a one hit wonder?

Domanitrix - good call, always heard that one in the clubs every weekend in the 80s
Ebn Ozn - yea they mentioned the AEIOU song here on the thread, believe me, you dont wanna hear the rest of Ebn Ozns tracks from that album, that album could make Hitler laugh
Kissing the Pink- their big hit was Certain Things Are likely, at least that was the hit here
Alphaville - not one hit wonders, they had lots of hits, their most famous being Forever Young - after that they had Romeos and Dance With Me get some radio play - a very underrated band

Can't remember who did it though
Band called Ebn Ozn.
And frankly, I'm disturbed that I remember that.

I think there is more than one song called AEIOU we are talking about here
but definitely AEIOU is an ebn ozn song, the other song (by freeze?) is another song by same name
I'm telling you, Ebn Ozn's song is one I play out alot as a DJ and people always remember it and comment on it, it had a video set in New York, I vaguely remember, very corny - and the rest of their album, I'm telling you, will make you laugh until you split your sides and have to go to hospital - even the album cover will - wait, I'll look it up.....
found a link---- laugh away.
The funniest on this album is Rockin' Robin with the robot voice. I play it when I have someone over the house who is really depressed who I am trying to cheer up. It was worth the dollar.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Billy Ocean (technically a two-hit wonder, with "Caribbean Queen" and "Get Out of My Dreams (Get Into My Car)") ![]()
Also, Katrina and the Waves - Walkin' On Sunshine
Til Tuesday - Voices Carry
Pete Townshend (solo) - Let My Love Open The Door

What about "When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going"? That was a great song, haha.
My favourites: Tom Tom Club: Genius of Love Kajagoogoo: Too Shy Jane Child: Don't Wanna Fall in Love (technically 1990 though, I think) Nu Shooz: I Can't Wait (though "Point of No Return" might also have had some success?)

I mentioned Walking on Sunshine in the "World's Happiest Songs" thread. Does that count?
I thought about Til Tuesday but "What about Love" made the top 10 in the US for rock tracks and #26 in the hot 100, so I didn't consider them a one hit wonder.
