I'm from Sweden, how the fuck could I know what Great Britain & N.I. where? I'm wathching some athletic stuff from London, and many of them where from Great Britain & N.I......

So no joke, just a bit confusing for me..

It's like saying that I'm from Sweden, and Scandinavia. And Europe. And from earth....

No because N.I is part of the UK. 'Southern Ireland' is a separate country which is the Republic of Ireland.

I can see that to an outsider that its kinda confusing that the UK has a bit of another island part of it, but it has a loooong history behind it all

...so you need some advice about the history of the United Kingdom; where are the Brits ?...

...but beware - traditionally the have their on football and rugby teams (Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland, England) !...

I understand now, but I've never seen it when I watch athletics before.

Wales + Scotland + England = GB GB + NI = UK I've probably missed some little bit, like Isle of Man or something, but you get the idea.

I went into the first shop in the world the other day, called that because its the first building after 0 degrees longitude/latitude. It is in Greenwich, and called something imaginative like 'the First Shop in the World'.

You know I always wondered why there were three names: England, GB, UK. I always thought they were the same place. Thanks for the new knowledge.
