fido.ca has an almost unrecognizable The Police -Roxanne . ! and a couple of the Psychedalic Furs tunes in the 80s. section. The Weather Girls -It's Raining Men (ha) in the Disco section could break a smile.

Quite like the unoriginal yet clean plain plunks of the basic ring tone.

Currently have Ceremony original 7". Before that BLT and before that LWTUA.

I might post a couple of suitable edits when I get my broadband fixed, if anyone would like them.

I also have about half of The Happy One in my phone, along with the climactic scene from Genesis of the Daleks ( which traumatized Bonzie's wee'un), just in case I need inspiration ;)

(T.H.O. can bring me back from ANY state of mind, SO MUCH bass :D )

The A-Team theme, though I'd like to change it for a sound grab of Mr T - pity the fool!

are there many phones where you can't use an mp3 file as a ring tone then?

surely you just crop an mp3 to an appropriate length & send that to your phone? easy! [/geek]

my phone has that feature programmed out of it...(as do a lot of phones in the US) and you can't hack the phone without a developer key (which you need to do a piece of code to apply for)

it's funny because the Sidekick in other countries you can set mp3s as ringtones but you can't on the T-mobile US version. It's something to do with the RIAA and the fact that mostly teeny boppers use the phone and will steal shite top10 ringtones. (that's why you can't set mp3s as ringtones on a lot of phones in the US...but most are hackable)

This is why I can't have proper MMS on my phone or bluetooth anything over but a vcard.

really limiting for a 500 dollar phone. :( but i feel silly taking it back because I can't do proper picture messaging and ringtones :P :P

Alternatively.....Full of noise, no substance.

I beg to differ. One hell of a Hooky bass solo throughout that tune.

$500? :jawdrop: don't they come free over there with the contract?

no wonder the phones are always so out of date in US films/ tv!

shit phones do.. mine is "shit" in that it's limited as I've said above but it's a smartphone. I paid 300 dollars for it with renewing my contract

Not a bad phone I've got on contract, but the software you get with it,was only compatible with Windows 2000/ME.Swell. So you could download tunes through Vodaphone, the only Real-tone NO song I could get was Jetstream. But you paid for tunes you could play back, but couldn't set as ringtones, unless you downloaded dedicated ringtone tunes. Now I can. What shall I have today....Paris Angels or South Park's Uncle Fucker?

This thread has inspired me to change it from the previously mentioned beep beep to Bizarre Love Triangle.

yep....hehehehe :p

Don't worry, I'm outnumbered at work 10 to 1, plus my parents have been OSU baseball and basketball season ticket holders for the last few seasons, and I get so much flack it's hilarious round these parts

Ronnie Lee was my favourite athlete as a kid, that's why I chose Oregon.

It's fairly easy to keep the Beavs in line, all I have to do is mention ROOOOOOOOOOOOLANDO BLACKMAN!!!!!!!!!!

.....or remind them of the sign seen along Interstate 5 last November...

....or remind them of the fact that even though Oregon hasn't fielded a baseball team for over 30 years, they still have placed more players in the Major Leagues than Oregon State.....(according to Baseball-Reference.com)

Have a good day. :)

Phone rings - This is the One by the Roses or alternatively Get the Message. Message = phone from 24

A Satie tune. However, I sometimes change it to a NO tune, but prepaid mobile offers crappy ringtones.

Have two different ones based on Regret, which I alternate between depending on mood - either just the intro or the chorus ("have a conversation on the telephone")... Use 'Sometimes' by James for the missus calling, as it's 'our song' (bless!)...
