Will they be showing it in-flight anytime soon?

Sounds shite, but any film in which Samuel L Jackson sez,

"I'm sick of the muthafcuking snakes on this muthafcuking plane.."

..err..will be worth a look in!

This will become a cult classic. Till then, though, I'll wait for it on HBO.

Saw the preview for it in front of Clerks 2 with a bunch of friends.

One of them said afterwards "I don't get it. What's this supposed to be about?"

I and another guy said out loud "It's about snakes... on a plane!"

That got the best laugh of the night out of the audience.

Ten bucks says it's actually a coming-of-age tale between teenage boys at a preppy private academy in the mid-Fifties :p

At work today, I found a plastic snake on one of the end caps (some kid had picked it up for a little while, then changed his mind apparently). I think my co-workers and I will try to do "Snakes On the Dairy Aisle" soon :evil4:

I think so, seems so bad it is good, in the best campy horror movie way. Sure Freddy Kruger was an evil fuck, but he was so much FUN with a good sense of humor.

and besides I fuckin hate snakes!!!

So how was Clerks 2, then?

It was OK. Some of it was kinda hokey. It tried to be slapstick like Clerks and thoughtful like Chasing Amy at the same time and to me it just didn't work. Jay had some hilarious moments, though, which saved the movie.

I'll catch it on DVD then, I think. I didn't think it would measure up to the first one.

If someone buys me my ticket, I'll probably go and see it. I wouldn't shell out my own cash for it.

Bump.

It was AMAZING!!! I can't get Cobra Starship's "Snakes on a Plane" out of my head! I was among about 10 other patrons who stood up and clapped during Samuel L. Jackson's "Motherfucking snakes" line and counted down with the digital timer before the snakes were released. Some young chap even threw a wooden snake at the screen, which I retrieved after the film...classic!!

I was pleasantly surprised at how decent the film was.

Samuel Jackson is awesome!

It's because there are only so many geeks on the intarweb--no matter what the hype.

I was disappointed in the movie I have to say. Yes I know it was supposed to be self-indulgently corny. But it didn't even do that well. It wasn't so bad it was good.. it was so bad it was bad.

I watched formula 51 to make up for it

I want to see it, but I don't have the time. Perhaps I should view the flick later, when it plays in the Student Union (for free).

Hell, that even looked bad in the commercial. They couldn't find 60 seconds worth of good footage for the trailer.

I've been to see it! Very proud of myself, it's about two years since I went in a cinema.

Quite entertaining in the way you'd expect. People were jumping in their seats though, but it just didn't get me that way for some reason

I will admit that I jumped out of my seat at one point. Wow, my heart was racing!

I jumped at one point where a snake head just flung into the camera.

I also covered my eyes at snakes eating people's genitalia and eyesockets..

it'd have been interesting in 3D that's for sure.
