Are they worth it? What are they for? Why - basically?

Will be getting this as soon as I can

Personally i don't want a tattoo. I only think i could have one if it seriously meant something personal to me, and something i felt strongly about enough to have permanent on my skin

and i don't really think piercings suit geezrs most the time. and i fookin hate those plugs people wear - stretchin the lobes to about 20mm :banghead:

but each to their own. Some people have tattoos that suit em great, but i'd look like a tit if had a bunch on my arm

i have a bunch of Tattoos , i never liked piercings, not even my ears. as for the tattoos i wont say i regret them(got my 1st at 15 and my last at 21, 33 now) but if i would have waited to mature a little i might not have gotten them, i do not hide them though.

I once saw a guy on Jerry Springer lift a concrete block with his nuts, courtesy of his multiple piercings down there.

Put me off piercings for life :nonono:

As for tatts, no thanks.

I'd have to agree with your thinking.

Personally I would love to have a bunch of tatoos, but there is only one problem....they're permanent. If it wasn't for this, I'd think differently.

As for women with tatoos, it's a turn off for me. Most women get them when they are young, and in places that after they're pregnant, you know it'll be distorted to some disgusting mess. Not sure how a child can respect their mother when they get older.

But again, as you stated, to each their own.

I often think that boring people get piercings to draw attention to themselves. To me the most crazy and fearsome people on Earth are the ones that are plain.

I have both ear lobes pierced-just diamond studs-noothing fancy. I had wanted them forever but I always worried that others would not like it. I worked at a record store until like 6 months ago. One day about 3 and a half years ago I said "fuck it" and got them done. I felt empowered. They are quite conservative really-considering what I have seen. I jole with buds that my ear rings made me look like a real record store employee.

The idea of having a tattoo has always been more exciting than the actual reality of getting one - in the majority of cases it's a fashion thing and not really a deep spiritual decision, with the problem that you can't change it easily like you can a wardrobe. Besides, I'm a wuss when it comes to physical pain. Have to say I've always found a tattoo on a girl's lower back quite sexy, not sure why.

Then some people get their tongue pierce in an effort to improve their oral sex skills. Mein Gut! If one needs to add shrapnel to improve oral sex proficiency then one really needs to practice the basics.

each to their own i reckon i like mine, no regrets about it.

piercings put me off when they are all over the face but i like tattoos - depending on where they are

I've got both, had them for years and they are part of me. I forget they are there.

I'd never get a tattoo because they are permanent. If they lasted a couple of weeks, I might get them every once in a while. Don't see the point of piercings either but at least you can take those out.

I had my ears pierced twice while in High School, but i only wear them in my lowest holes now.

I want a tattoo, but i want it somewhere i can hide it easily as i think i'd regret it twice as much if it was in a prominent position.

I hate tatoo's on girls. Very butch and not at all sexy. Same with blue jeans. What's wrong with a nice dress eh? Come on girls! Give the fellas a treat and show us some leg.

I like your style Glas? Not often a man wants to see a girl in a pretty frock, but love it when they wear next-to-nothing. Good lad :thumb:

EDIT: I like getting dressed up in a girly way but never really get the opportunity to :(

I'd just like to point out that I've gone nine minutes without making a smutty comment about Missy's lowest holes.

Do I win £40?

I shall be getting round to having a tattoo done shortly, and may even go as far as getting an ear pierced! Midlife crisis, I put it down to.

Good question Wino.

I like the idea of a tattoo, but I'm sure I'd regret it in time!

Have you got any interesting ones yourself that you aren't disclosing??! :shades:

I agree, I like to see dresses and almost never do anymore, though I don't mind jeans as long as they're tight!

Also not too crazy about tattoos or belly button & tongue piercings.

I have 2 tats and have never regretted either of them,

The designs were done especially for me and have personal meanings to me. Also I can cover then up or show them off, depending on how I feel or if it's appropriate or not.

I'm pretty damn certain that they don't make me look butch.

So far i only have my ears pierced, I have been considering getting my nipple done, but I'm not sure yet

Tats on a bird = butch Tats on a bloke = hells angel, gaylord or sailor.

Fact of life. As I said before, what's wrong with a nice frock, some well apllied make-up and a nice smile. Trust me girls, it's what you need to snare Mr. Right.

I know quite a few people who have different piercings and by all accounts the increase of sensitivity is supposed to be Great..... not keen on the pain bit first though
