what about new zealand... it would be 'sweet as brother' or 'hows it' or when refering to a woman one would say 'ohhh that sheila' our motto is a smile, especially in these parts

Should be something like

'here look at all our grass, now leave your money & go'

or

'we hate the Brits so much, we copy everything they do'

although, in the last 2 years, I think it's become

'160,000 Polish migrants can't be wrong' (not slagging Poles BTW - each one I've met has been really nice, & the ladies all seem to be 'fine things')

I think I've heard that the job market is so booming in Ireland that they've been trying to attract immigrants, hence all the Poles. Any need for a 30 somthing mechanical engineer with middling skills?

We would if people would stop moving here from the East Coast. Place is getting so crowded I need some space. Idaho does sound nice. Think I'll move the family of 50 up there. Thanks for the tip!

You bet, 68. Head to the eastern side of the state. Great scenery and you're close enough to SLC for your family of 50 to reproduce and become a family of 400.

Yeah, I've always thought that was the coolest state motto. I wanted to move to NH just so I could get one of those license plates! :thumb:

don't both ohio and north carolina have 'first in flight' as their state motto? i get north carolina because of kitty hawk, but what the hell's up with ohio? did the wright brothers spend the night there or something?

Doctor? wrote: I'm fairly sure the Wrights were not actually from you the Carolinas, no?

they weren't, but if all ohio can come up with for a motto is that the wrights were from there, then that doesn't say much for ohio in my book. i think north carolina wins the rights to the wright brothers.

maybe: ohio! we've got lots of rubber-making factories!

Oooh, we went to Galway (from Sydney!)(With a baby!) with our engineering skills and ended up living lavishly for six months before being retrenched! 'twas grand! Best six months of my life.

Galway is about as big as our chinatown but they gave us a driver.
