So larger ladies who want babies are being told to 'slim down' or 'fuck off' by the NHS, and people who like seeing ladies get beaten up and gang-raped* are also victims of our so-called ultra-PC Government.

HOT TOPICS IN THE NEWS TODAY: any views????

what is your view then?

I know nothing about the relationship between being overweight and its effect on fertility, so I'm pretty ambivalent about that one; as for the other, unless you're a braindead kneejerk libertarian I'm struggling to see how anyone can really complain if people get their fingers rapped for owning images of people having sex with pigs or corpses, or indeed images of non-consensual sex.

It's been a strange day. Your earlier thread made me look at the Guardian article about things to do this autumn. One of the other things we must do, apparently, is to see the band Hot Chip, who I'd never heard of until GlasVegas mentioned them earlier (and who I will be seeing at the weekend).

As I looked through the rest of the paper, which inspired me to start a thread called "violent porn is still legal (for now)". But you beat me to it. Are you reading my mind or something?

Anyway, possession of images of extreme sexual violence, necrophilia and bestiality is going to be banned soon, so make the best of it while you can.

As for IVF, I can't separate it in my mind from breast enlargements and botox. People with a all-consuming desire to have kids could be treated, in the same way as any other negative self-image should be. IVF is a very stressful process and usually ends in failure. I wouldn’t make it available on the NHS to anyone, regardless of how thin they are.

Hello. (after being in The Lake District for donkeys lately, i must say it comes close to my affection for da Order. Firstly i can comment on IVF and will. After 2 years getting jack shit to happen, ME and da bird have (SO FAR..) been waiting another 24 months for initial NHS IVF tests. FUCK THAT So have Spent 15K privately on 3 goes in last 12 months. No joy. Believe me it it is torture, more than moving house, job etc....

My opinions (as you expect!): Fat bastards should slim down first before treatment, not bothered about smokers but they should be prosecuted if they continue while pregnant (child abuse simple as that).

But as for Lesbo & Gay couples - well they can fook right off. They can't have kids. (whether they have chosen their 'lifestyle' or were born with it- tuff shit. Children shouldnt be viewed as material accessories as some do. If they warped fookers want do then do it privately, (as i had do) then that is up to them. But it is morally wrong for people to work & pay tax for years and (so fa) get fuck all back off of the state, but at the same time they are prepared to WASTE money on pc causes such as Lesbos & Gays having kids. FUCKING DISGRACE

Dont care what you all think, but this pc shit has gone far enough

Very sorry to hear about the IVF; sounds like an emotional/material nightmare. Doesn't excuse the remaining bile, however. FYI, gay couple can have kids: my PhD supervisor and her partner managed it with some donated spunk and a pippette (NB - not a member of the pop combo). Plus, I assume, "lesbos & gays" with fertility problems won't have any easier ride with the programme than you.

It seems to me you've been dealt a rough deal; hardly the fault of the state, PC causes or non-straight folk, is it?

Well, I think when doctors say "No" to the larger women regarding having children, it's probably only going to be when the woman is clearly morbidly obese by medical standards. I've got nothing against sex and/or pornography, but rape, gang rape, necrophilia, beastiality and whatnot shouldn't be glamourised, so I don't mind people saying "no" to such forms of pornography.

Fradders - my only gripe is that the state is willing to pay for gay n lesbo couples to 'have' kids. Surely that is wrong, as well as being impossible. If they want to fork out & go private -then fair enough. With this extra ££ burden dont you see that straight couples will now move down the Q even slower in order for 'equality for all'

Do these "images" of certain violent sex acts apply only to hardcore porn, or is the definition loose enough to include things like particularly extreme movies?

Nah, they're only talking about the real deal, otherwise John Walters and the Farrelly Bros would be fucked!!

I guess if you don't approve of "equality for all" or think that that it's "wrong"/"impossible" for the state to pay for non-straight couples (or even single women) to have IVF then, yeah, I can see why you'd be aggrieved as clearly the waiting list IS gonna get longer.

Surely, however, your taxes ain't any better than any of the above UK citizens regardless of their 'lifestyle choice', right?

I know a fair few poofs. None of them have got kids. Not entirely sure any of them want them. When you're still caning the E's past 50, it would be a bit of a lifestyle change, no!?

Thing is, every gay couple I know are fcuking minted! Like, proper minted. Two blokes, good careers, fcuk all responsibility. They're awash with cash. Not a strain on the NHS at all.

Two birds though?! Couple of lo-end jobs. They could be a drain! Who's the bread-winner?! Neither! :uhoh:

(That last paragraph was written facetiously, natch. Before the PC brigade bite me head off).

Did it ever occur to you that some people are fat despite not doing anything different from other people? :skeptic:

And I know what I'm talking about. Don't worry.

I don't think the taxpayers should be paying for anybody to have kids. Too damn many people on this planet already.

Adopt.

The NHS is a bottomless pit... IVF should not be available, to anyone, there are just too many other prioritites like ill people.

Okay by me if all porn was banned. They should ban airguns too...

Thank you!

And if the NHS is paying for some they should pay for all unless there's scientific proof.

Maybe if the NHS stops non essential bullshit like that they'll be more money for QUALITY health care: quicker cancer detection and treatment.

RE: the porn.

boohoo nanny state. Animal porn's not right and I've no problem with that.

But unless the gang rape photos etc are of an actual gangrape (and then an actual crime) and aren't just depicting a sick thing then the government needs to fuck off. consenting adults trying to make money blah blah blah etc etc etc

that's not a knee jerk libertarian reaction I don't think.

That Taxes that should equate to Health Care. There is the part that I have a problem with. Everyone is paying the Taxes + so the care should be available. Medical and Dental.

Who is making the decisions as to what or specifically which prodedures get the Tax Dollar. That part is International. When the ER waiting room times are what. Hours?! same hospital. There are only so many rooms and Medical hands available. The Surgery wait times are mind-blowing and it is blamed on lack of funds. Private Health care shouldn't be an almost necessary solution when there is the Money available for Gov't to act responsibily and clear the wait times. Doesn't add up. There is the $ available in the Tax wells to get most any procedure done. Getting lost in Paperwork and Redtape.

Violent Film. Shouldn't be the Governments' concern. Having said that there should be Strict laws against any exploitation. Their focus perhaps should be to better the Educational system and Sports facilities. $ is out there. Make it work. All different constructive priorities.

said much better than I did. I seemed to get lost in the type. But is there not something wrong that there has to be Laws like this in the first place. Yes. Laws are in place for protection. But. . but. Too much time on Peoples' hands if they're looking to Farm animals for ill-shades of luving.

so fat folk cant have help in having kids eh? well with the current rate of obesity in the uk increasing at a rate of notts, is that wise?. and for starters as spotnick has pointed out some folk are just BIG,always have been always will be,didnt we all know the FAT KID when we was growing up?? . leave fatties alone i say ,its not a crime,(yet) as for violent porn, just what is violent porn??. i know that a lot of this law stems from the fact that a girl was strangled to death by a guy who had access to this kind of thing and her mother has been campaigning for a change in the law. whilst my heart goes out to her for losing a child i do feel that it is a lost cause. Now i for one have never seen anyone being actually raped online or otherwise, and would imagine that 99% of such material is staged ect which doesnt excuse the 1% of course. and yet we can watch someone having their head sawn off live on the net quite legally?? so what is violent porn, where is the line drawn, is not all pornography from some peoples perspective "violent" ie the degredation of one sex over the other. very murky ground if you ask me,but what else can we expect from a uk gov like this. where most of the new laws they pass are just opinion poll boosters, just this week lancashire police have launched a campaing against short sighted drivers, where drivers are asked to read a number plate from 20 yrds and if they fail its a fine and 3 points on your liscense (true)in fact in the uk if you own a vehicle you may as well be a criminal. asbos are being handed out like sweets,we now have computer chips in our wheelie bins, radio and tv ads telling us how to behave ie: pay your road tax or we will crush your car,do you know anyone in a dodgy business(grass em up ere),do this do that. its relentless, and on top of all that if your fat your not worth a carrot. sorry to highjack yer thread for a rant fradders but it had to be said, and if i wasnt pissed id say it better, this cuntries fucked.

Unfortunately that's a rather rose-tinted view of the porn industry on the net- consenting adults!!! The gang-rape pics are often just that - and they're not always from Eastern Europe/ somewhere far away etc. I have friends who investigate these cases and they find that most of the pics come from homes in England where people are desperate/greedy for cash. Any regulation of the industry should be welcomed -

The world will be a much better place when you and I are in charge, C-Ro. If competent, consenting adults want to do something, anything, and it isn't harming anyone else, then everybody else, including the government, can FUCK OFF.
To Confusion33's point, obviously, if the pictures are real, that is entirely another matter. I'm no expert on the porn industry (really!) so I can't comment on what sort of regulation it needs.
