For any afficionados there is a Stiff night on BBC4 next friday. An Ian Dury documentary followed by a Stiff doc then Stiff at the beeb with TOTP/OGWT etc performances from all the Stiff Acts

So, anyone see this - two evenings worth of stuff from one record label? - fantastic!
Lene Lovich was interviewed - she still looks a complete fruitcake as does the guy from Devo so it wasn't as fad.
Excellent documentaries on Stiff, the stiff tour, Ian Dury, Madness plus two hours of performances by stiff artists on BBC programmes.
Sadly I don't think there'd be enough output/variety or success from Factory to get the same effort. Might make a good evening though.
I've got Teleport Replay so was planning to watch it on that when I've got chance, as long as it comes as part of the package (think all Beeb output does?)

Also never realised that They Don't Know was written and recorded first by Kirsty MacColl. Always had a secret liking for that song but couldn't get past the fact that Tracy Ullman sang it. Must track down the original version.

Fcuk knows how that thing works. They had Extras recorded last week, but then no Mitchell & Webb straight after? Strange.

On the subject of extras, it's an excellent documentary series. Now looking forward to Patrick Stewarts future output.

I seem to recall reading back then, in Creem magazine, that Lene was involved with her guitarist, the one with the shaved head, Les something or other.
Slightly irritated now cause I've just recalled that my If It Ain't Stiff, It Ain't Worth A Fcuk t-shirt was stolen from me years ago. Bastards.
