Hated: All the cars were pieces of crap, mechanically & design wise Full House Over the Top Leggings and other exercise clothing worn at normal times short shorts I had to wear

In all seriousness - Loved "The Cosby Show", "Punky Brewster", the Smurfs, Saturday Morning cartoons and wrestling shows, the A-Team, G.I. Joe, and Transformers

Hated Reagan (well, when I got older), "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and other slasher flicks, anything having to do with Corey Haim/Feldman/Hart, and acid-wash jeans and jean-jackets

Liked: New Order The Cure Depeche Mode Pet Shop Boys Tainted love Music videos John Hughes' movies - when I saw them in the '90s The graffiti under the bridge formed by the Schyukyl Expressway going near my neighborhood. It made me want to be a graffiti artist. Acid wash jeans and denim jackets Cartoons Ghostbuster action figures Metallica Jeans with writing and drawing all over them

Hated: My little Pony and Cabbage patch kids Board shoes Most American music Getting candy cigarettes for halloween and having them taken away The B&W TV my parents had up until the '90s

I don't remember much of the 80s, but I do know that I love New Order and I hate (more than anything else in the decade's pop culture) TIPPER GORE and her PMRC!

LOVED-Being in my early 20s. An endless stream of one night stands. Snakebite depth-charge. My job.

HATED-The constant moving from flat to flat The lack of a steady girlfriend The miners strike. Wham. Thatcher. The Falklands war.

Now i have a wife,twins and a nice house,none of which i ever imagined i would have back then.Life can be a funny old thing.

Good bits: Shoulder pads - good for balancing out child-bearing hips New Order - another good 20 years ahead to enjoy them

Bad bits: Gyms only had joint knackering high-impact aerobic classes Big hair being fashionable - never achievable with my fine tresses

Sorry to steal from you Shug but you summed up exactly how I felt about the 80's

Loved : The beginning of the Madchester explosion, music and clothes. (heralding good times in the 90's)

Also The Smiths Technique Bek Jumping Getting served when 15 Building rope swings Playing on building sites My class being on telly because our teacher reffed 1980 FA cup final

Hated : Everything else esp. Thatcher and the music. I don't fall for this 80's music retro thing. Overall it was a shit decade for music and fashion and I was totally aware of it at the time. Couldn't wait for 80's to end. If anyone tells me NO were/are quintessential 80's, they can fuck right off. 80's NO were ahead of their time ;)
