Now don't be rude.

I mean is it lights out immediately? Watch TV? Read a book?

Personally I like to read (unless I have a better offer).

On the rare occasion that I am alone and sober, I usually read or put the telly on or both.

Why do you ask?

Sleep[1], open me mail, and sometimes listen to radio plays and the like. Don't have a TV in bedroom these days, it leads to moving in to bed on a semi permenant basis.

[1] or more often than not, totally FAIL to sleep.

  1. Sleep
  2. Snore
  3. Fart (as miss Jiphy has been sharing my bed for many years by now...)
  4. Make love to miss Jiphy (which happens less than farting nowadays, sadly)

Forbidden things :

  1. Eat in bed
  2. Watch TV (I go farting on the sofa then)

Sleep.

Rarely go to bed much before 1am and always up before 6.30 on weekdays, so too knackered for anything bar sleep!

sleep only, hanky panky now & then (if the heating hasnt come on)in house. Life's too short to fanny about in bed.

Read, or do a bit of the crossword... can't go to sleep straight away... Always used to listen to the radio (and usually fall asleep with it on) when I was single... Mrs Snorri doesn't care for that sort of thing (especially not Radio 5)...

John, we've achieved our goals: troops are out of Vietnam, there's peace in Northern Ireland, now can we finally get around to...you know?

Wait, love...what about Iraq? Is that still going on?

*sigh* Yes, John, but I think maybe we should just send the press away and...

Hey, fellas! We're having a bed-in for peace in Iraq, and we won't shag until the violence is over!

Typical...I'll be working on a book with pictures of oranges if anyone needs me.

apart from the radio alarm clock its just plain wrong to have any mains powered electrical goods in the bedroom.

I wont even have my mobile phone in the bedroom.

Its a rest place.

ok, maybe the laptop sneeks in when I want a weird wank. But battery powered only mind.

The laptop, not the wank, obviously.

I used to stare at my ceiling until the shapes would start to move, and I could see them battling each other for supremacy of the Ceiling Nation.

I'm willing to concede that I'm insane

The wife doesnt believe in having TVs, sound systems etc in the bedroom. However she has a small DAB radio which she falls asleep listening to, whilst I am on the tinternet downstairs, then I come to bed, lie horizontal and proceed to stare at the insides of my eyelids for approx 7hrs.

Well, considering #3, why would you not expect the natural consequence of #4?!

And, why do you just take it and be sadly? Come on, you can chuck some more wood on the fire. I have been with my partner for a very very very long time. A bit of extra attention and grooming goes a long way. You don't even need to do it all the time, that way it surprises them.

You sound like you care about miss jiphy a lot. Are you doing your best?
