Probably extremely pedantic but there you go;

Tidbit: What the chuff is wriong with titbit? We even had a magazine called titbits, now the sanitised version is taking over. Do we have to change every word that contains the three consecutive letters T-I-T?

Newbie: Absolutely bloody ridiculous word. I've not been here before, I am a newcomer, hello I'm new , newbie?

There's another that I'll remember tommorrow after a sleep.

Anyone else this sad?

aye, the follow up is never along the lines of 'you saved a life and everyone thought you were a hero'

if its 'you told everyone to fuck off, took your clothes off then threw up in your underpants......'

phew, it could have been worse.

coz it has been

  night.:eek3:

The only ones I hate are when people change the pronounciation so that they seem more sophisticated, i.e.

thee aiter (instead of theater)

"q" pon (instead of coupon.....THERE IS NO Q PEOPLE!!!)

A word used improperly. For example, a few summers ago, my mother kept using the word "angst," except she'd say thing like "I'm angsting" or "I'm angsted about this." Drove me nuts. The word now just bothers me.

Also, a double negative, like when someone says, "He didn't do nothing," when someone really means, "He didn't do anything." I hear it all the damn time in Philly, even from "educated" people.

The DREADED sentence.

It usually means

a) you slept with a horse or b) you pissed in various locations around the house

There are more options, but in public decency we will leave it at them two :D

I had this problem with my slavic students... The rule is to use double negative...

People who use the word realise (in French) like it has the same meaning than in English. Réaliser means : do something from A to Z and not "se rendre compte" (which can be translated by "come to my mind") Ala which correct spelling is : à la

Bonkers (who uses that anymore? Hobos and Thirties con-men?)
