Yeah, L7 for me - remember when they raffled off their drummer to sleep with the winning fan? Andres, Shitlist, Pretend we're dead - awesome songs. The Breeders had a male drummer (the first version of the band in the 90s).

Wrong. It's a cover of a cover of a cover. The original was by "Shocking Blue" in the 60's and it's on the latest edition of "The Trip" series of mix CD's (Tom Middleton on the mix I think). And it's been covered by loads of folk, remember the slightly dancey "Don Pablo's Animals" version in the early 90's? Your knowledge of pop trivia is as bad as your attempts to moderate topics on the JP forum.

that's a bit rich coming from someone who thinks heart are an all girl group! & (much as it pains me to do so) lg actually says it's a cover of a cover, so she knows banarama didn't do the original

Well, I'm Japanese, so I wouldn't know much about other artists. Cut out the hostility, will you? Basically, I wanted to say was that she covered it, but it's not her original song (it's a cover, you know). There's nobody here that knows everything there is to know.

PS: I e-mailed the actual moderator of the Japanese forum to delete your message replied to me criticising me for acting like a moderator. I know I'm not a moderator, but anybody on these forums knows that spam (Yes, your post about the whisky shop was spam) is not allowed. Please, can't we all just respect each other and cut out the hostility?

Thank you, Agent Wood for the correction. And thank you, Monty for emphasizing my choice. Basically, for an all-woman band, I prefer those from Japan, including the J-pop kinds. They are so much better than Spice Girls and all of them from the US. I will give them Sleater-Kinney a listen, though. I only heard "Girls and Guitars."

The Raincoats..........or maybe The Slits.........or Scrawl.....or Frightwig.......or Kleenex, I dunno, they're all quite good. I quite like The Bangles first album, but nothing after that. Nice to see Shop Assistants and Fuzzbox get mentions.
