I also rarely shave with a mirror. Always use a blade 'proper' where possible.

Mirrors are way too jaggy and you're likely to cut your throat.

Wisdom!

You're getting warmer.

Wisdom make toothbrushes!

Shit for shaving though. :nonono:

NEVER so out of it as to put toothpaste on my mug (well, not believing it was shaving cream anyway).

Speaking of which, any sign of re-entry to Earth's atmosphere soon for you, or are you out there for a bit longer?

A relative of mine mistook toothpaste for pile cream once. We spent the whole of Christmas dinner debating whether that was preferable to the other way around.

But more amazingly, I bought some mentholated pile cream in Barcelona!

I've had to stop the Valleys and Tramedol because I work on earth. The anti-inflamatories are the only thing I'm allowed here

I have to be teathered to my desk. And cow-orkers have a window pole to retrieve me lest I float too high. Thing is, for ages, I thought the Trammies weren't getting me fucked up anymore. Turns out, they are, it's just I'm the only sod who doesn;t notice

On the subject of the thread (ahem)....I have actually spent money on clothing for the October trek, figuring I want to look SLIGHTLY better than my usual total tramp self.

Somewhere in the mists where a band of silent weirdos who played with their backs to the audience mutated into Status Quo, their fans seem to have developed some semblance of style. Mind you, I still try my damnedest not to wear what's "IN", it just means you look less of a dick for a week, then like a huge dick each time you wear it thereafter, whereas, my approach leads to just looking like a bit os a spanner most of the time.

EDIT:  I certainly hope nobody (ahem, Jem) seen what I did to the thread there before I edited. Move along folks, nothing to see.

Ha ha Doctor!

Just for your information the square bracket is called a switch. It is used to literally switch on a particular effect within the text window.

The symbol / within the square brackets switches the effect off.

In order to avoid complications, ensure that you switch off any effect that you use within your post - otherwise your effect will continue to the rest of the page and cause confusion.

We've gone from shaving to toothbrushes to inflamed arses.

What's next on the list?

Used to use menthol shaving cream, nice. Now moved onto body shop stuff, even better. Can't stand shaving foam.

Don't like anything with more than two blades - too big and tricky for getting round the ears. They also get clogged up if you leave it a couple of days.

A fixed head again is better for getting round the ears than wobbly one.

Finally lubri strips - what are they for? If its for a smoother shave then why are they after the blade(s) and not before?

  1. So you smell of cinnamon & apple?

  2. The strip passes over the skin you`ve just shaved, you must be shaving backwards!

Exactly! The bit you've just done - so what's the point of it? It can't be to ease the travel of the blade otherwise it would be before. If it's to moisturise the skin then it's a waste of time 'cause it'll get washed off a couple of minutes later.

Just another excuse to get money out of you.

Hair products; yes. A dash of "poof juice" if you're heading for a night up the dancing; acceptable. Moisturiser; NO FUCKING WAY. If my dad found out I used moisturiser I'd be disowned. And that's the way it should be.

When I was in college, some time ago, my friend and I did a survey on random girls on the campus. He was positive that women loved moisterized, soft hands that where well manicured (i.e. buffed and polished). I believed the opposite, that clean "manly" hands were more attractive to women.

We asked close to 200 girls that year, and our tallies showed, suprisingly, that it was almost a perfect 50/50 decision.

The misss keeps buying me all kinds of toiletries, all of which sit gathering dust under the sink in the bathroom... I mean, exfoliating facial scrub? Like scrubbing your face with sandpaper...

He's right,it's girly as IMO. Next thing,non-tranny blokes will be wearing blusher and saying "oh it's fine,it makes me look like I'm in touch with my femine side!"

In fairness, my one concession to this "male grooming" bollocks that's taking the world by storm is "Mach 3" razors and "King of Shaves" gel, although I get my sister to pick them up knock-off from the Barras for a fraction of the price.

The world's gone mad when blokes start using moisturiser and getting their feckin nails done in a glorified poodle parlour. As for getting your body hair waxed....WHAT THE FUCK??!! I've got a mate, Ben the Hairy Highlander, who gave it a go after getting bullied into it by another mate of ours who's a hairdresser. He got his back done, just to above his arse which meant that every time he bent down or his jeans hung low he looked like he was wearing a pair of hairy pants

My scruffy husband loves his mach3 and King of Shave combo too! He uses the Kingof Shaves oil and has the new vibrating mach whatever.

Every year, my husband shaves his head for the luekaemia foundation fundraiser, this year he offered to get a back, sack and crack wax if someone sponsored him $1000. Sadly, no one did. He was not sad.

Ouch!
