I couldn't read all the shit stirring posts about Muslims taking over. It upset me too much. Within the first few posts there were already several uses of the word "myriad" as a noun. I always try to tell people that the correct usage of "myriad" is as an adjective. It is a myriad mysteries, not a myriad of anything.
So before I wrote this I did a bit of googling, it seems that mostly it's just snobs like me who insist on it being used (properly) as an adjective only. It seems that so many people use it as a noun that we have had to just accept it. Now, this is a real threat.
How come no one is kicking up a fuss about this?
The myriad slings and arrows my poor second language must suffer...
