Oh......so on May 6th of this year, we had a tornado. It hit at night.....I was up north of the city at the time and had to run downstairs in the middle of all the sirens and lightning ( I don't like it)to take cover. Anyway, this is what I heard from my father later on about what was taking place at my mother's during this tornado.
While the sirens were sounding, my mother was trying to get a few cats in the house and my epileptic grandmother was yelling at her and trying to pull her in the house- not for safety but because she did not want cats in the house.
So during all of this chaos, a big chunk of hail hit my mom on the elbow. And I don't think they took cover at all. My grandmother will sit on the couch with the TV on, lightning flying around, sirens going off and she will still not take cover. You try dragging a 200 something pound elderly dingbat to safety....fuck the cats. My uncle was a mile or so away drunk under a goddam carport with a bunch of other hoodrats, and he managed to take cover in a neighbors house.
No one was hurt, but a bit of stuff was torn to peices. It hit like 2.5 miles away from my uncle's house....lol....texas....
