bit of a long shot but does anyone on hear play any of the footy manager games?

i love em!

i'm a championship manager boy myself, tried football manager 2005 when it first came out but i didn't like it so stuck with champ manager, i still play 01/02 from time to time, easily the best incarnation of the game.

Haven't bought a manager game for ages, but i might get this.

My fave was Champ Man 97/98, it was more like an arcade game, none of that teamtalk and training nonsense

Anybody remember Kevin Keegans Player Manager on the SNES. Now there was a game!!!

I've been doing some of the user testing for FM07 for Sports Interactive - got a full season demo and all the extra features. It's looking promising. Sure there are a few bugs that need ironing out, and you constantly have to hit "continue" moreso than before, but some of the additional features look good. Not entirely sure how useful the link between pre-match and half-time talk and assistant manager feedback is though, I had a certain Cristiano Ronaldo delighted with half-time bollocking for some reason!

One thing that they do need to tweak is the finishing. Doesn't matter how good your strikers are, they will miss far too often, open goals and all kinds. It gets progressively worse the further down the Pyramid you get until it becomes disproportionate, one week in Conference North there were 8 0-0 draws out of eleven games.

Feeder clubs is useful, but there is still a glitch, even if the terms say you have first refusal on a feeder club player, you won't actually get that first refusal. I had an feeder club Antwerp kid sold without my knowledge despite me having first dibs according to the game.

No,cant get into them. But i cant wait for Fifa '07 for the 360,out next week-along with Tiger Woods '07. Gonna cost 100 rips,but should be worth it.
