Boys and their DIRTY BOMBS

There was a story in the papers yesterday that terrorist cells in the UK are thinking of setting off a number of nuclear devices in the UK. Now, I've no doubt that there are a quite a few deranged folks out there who would quite like to slaughter thousands of people and be featured on top TV shows like "Crimewatch", but is this "thinking" about doing something akin to the way I often 'think' about what I'd like to do with Naomi Watts and a gallon of KY jelly?? Or when I "think" about turning up at Stoke's training ground for an impromptu trial, before going on to win the FA Cup and get them promoted with 75 goals in the rest of the season??

Put simply: if I put a note on my fridge door which says:

"THINGS TO DO:

1. Rape the Queen

2. Blow up Government buildings.

3. Film myself having sex with a rabid ferrett and email the footage to every 5 year old girl in the country. And Posh Spice."

...am I therefore guilty of "planning" said atrocities???

There are folks in Guantanamo bay for less.

And to think I used to think Orwell's concept of "thought crime" was far fetched.

If people knew everything that the country is protected from on a daily basis i doubt they'd sleep at night.

And yes,you would be arrested for that note-but only for making a violent threat toward the queen. The other to would be quickly dismissed as harmless.
