THE THE.. i just love this tune and everything about it i remember living in a flat in nottingham , in the living room it had wide windowsill which you could sit in . one hot summers day i sat and smoked a spliff and watched the world go by, THIS IS THE DAY was playing and it just seemed like a perfect 5 minutes where nothing mattered.. and no i am not a fuckin hippy!!!!

Other The The songs I love are the original single versions of "Uncertain Smile" and "Perfect "- class songs! They rekindle great memories of my summer as an 18 year old in the early 80s (aaahhh that long hot summer of 1983 - perfectly encapsulated by that...um...Style Council single of the same name - actually that whole "A Paris" EP was a peach!)
"Ghost Town" by The Specials (purely for the way it perfectly captured the area where I lived during the 1981 summer of social unrest.....very few songs come close summing up an entire period like this one.)
runner up: "Starman" by David Bowie - the first record I ever bought as a 7 year old kid.
Fave song of all time! Toughie, since we can only pick one. I would have to say "3 Libras" By A Perfect Circle! I love them because they have a lot of influence by The Cure(old Cure that is)! It is truly a beautiful song that I never tire of or(i'm not making a list here):lol CURVE "Perrish." It is a tie between the two!

i bought a record as a seven year old kid last week, but I didnt get a discount so not doing it again. starman one of my fave bowie songs too, hunky dory a top album. as for a favourite song could say one now but it would be different in 5 mins. first one i paid cash for was reward teardrop explodes.
