i'm planning another trip to the UK next year and i'm doing a straw poll. should i shoot for spring break or for the summer. (mind you, i'll only be in scotland this time to visit friends). then again, if i end up doing my PhD at edinburgh or durham uni it doesn't matter, does it? 
so: spring or summmer?
Irellevent. Edinburgh will always be full of tourists, Home Counties students and miserable East Coast cunts no matter what time of the year you visit.

i'm just worried i won't pass my GRE and i'll end up taking out lots of loans to pay for my PhD overseas. i miss scotland anyway and i'd choose edinburgh over durham as i have friends there and it is a bit more interesting, if extremely touristy. no lottery win here.
