Happy Holidays. I hope you are all enjoying a well deserved break.

No time off for me though. For some reason work expects me turn up even on my birthday.

I fuckin' hate Thanksgiving :banghead:

I thought employees in retail really hate Black Friday....

We do...Hell indeed it is. But working Thanksgiving or Christmas while everyone else is home and with family relaxing? That is quite a bitter experience.

I got stuck working late yesterday, but I knew it was going to happen so I made a "protest CD" beforehand. From the time I was supposed to leave until I actually left, my coworkers were treated to endless loops of screaming, vomiting, yodeling, women discussing their periods and the word "exhaust" repeated endlessly. All of these tracks were mixed on top of each other, and the whole mess played for an hour.

Today was a breeze, almost felt like hanging around a bit after my 12 o'clock quitting time but I haven't lost my mind completely

Now I'm at Casa De Tabs, the family is coming in so I won't have much opportunity to come on here and kevetch with you all. Happy Turkey Day to you all! :beer2: :thumb:

Happy thanksgiving, Euro-Americans!

Let's pause to thank all of the indigenous Americans who helped Whitey through the long winter, only to be rewarded with centuries of genocide and cultural destruction.

Eat up!

David...you always have to look at the negative...don't you??

They're getting back at us with casinos, enviromentalism, and leather pants, though

But yes, Indians were shit on royally from the first Thanksgiving onwards. It's the American way, said to say :nonono:

The Brit way, Tabbsy. And the Dutch way, and the Spanish way....

We just carried on the Brit tradition, being rebellious Brits an' all...

"Merry Christmas to all Our White Capitalist Oppressor Chauvinists!

Take time to remember the reason for the season: the promotion of more accumulated wealth amongst those who control the markets and the further degredation of those without means to protect themselves from the whims of the nobility!

Oh, and the sacrifice of Jesus upon the altar of commerce (interesting how the main symbol for the season is outfitted in red...and has a beard much like Comrade Marx!)" :evil4:

Damned hippie. Bet he never returned any wayward gloves while offering a glass of shampanya to the distraught young lass.

Had a nice vegan Thanksgiving with some friends. Would've been nice if I could've stuffed my bird, though.

I can't believe I'm going back to school on Monday. Wait a minute, the semester is almost over. Oh, how I dread the finals...:banghead:

Had the day off, went and watched my home team get beat by hated rivals U-South Carolina (31-28) :banghead:

But I get to go back to school Monday :jump:

I know the feeling, Tabs.

It's supposed to snow here Monday and Tuesday. Don't know whether to be excited or disgusted.

Ehh... what's disgusting about snow?

I'll have to slog through it to get to the library. When I was a lad, I had to walk through blizzards to get to school.... :read:

:love2: But it is romantic an' all. :love2:

Funny, my hometown rarely gets snow. My college town gets flurries, but there was a major storm four years ago in the area.

I wouldn't expect much snow in Naha. ;)

Oh, I didn't think about Naha at the time. I was talking about that town in NC I couldn't stand. I disregard it as my hometown.

Well, if you'd like to see the snow, you know where it'll be snowing...

Seriously, we need to get the U-South Carolina and Oregon State University football teams to play each other. Oh, the endless puns sportswriters around the nation, plus the less-educated fan bases of both schools would have.
