Scousers infiltrating a Manc site and the Mancs telling the Scousers that we sing it better

There is a story on the second page that Liverpool sang it first in a European Final, no-one's ever gonna agree and there's no proof, but through our family up the road who have been going to Parkhead forever, we sang it first :spit:

Some of those guys need to chill out!

Surely it's obvious that 60,000 Celtic fans will be louder than 45,000 at Anfield

"Before the early 60s football fans made noise and occasionally chanted something brief (like Play Up Pompey!) but it was the Kop that started singing popular songs of the day (mainly Merseybeat songs such as Gerry and the Pacemakers' You'll Never Walk Alone) and later started to adapt the lyrics of songs to celebrate the team and its players

That one on that link, after Chelsea semi was a bit of a mess, still brings tears to my eyes but everyone's voices were fucked by then, after what Terry described in his book as - a noise he'd never heard anything like before and he doubts he ever will again.

My voice still hasn't recovered properly.

Might I take this opportunity to recommend a recently released tome by Tony Evans. Far Foreign Land is his account of his spiritual and physical journey to Istanbul.

Excellent Read!
